It has been almost 3 month and Green Dot will not release my funds to me that were sent from the IRS. This is a horrible business and company and I want my money no one should ever have to deal with what I've had to deal with with any company
FRAUD. Received a green dot "gift card" - cost was the value of the card $20, plus ridiculous fees. Went to "activate" it, only to find out the card itself is useless. Had to set up an account with them, including providing all my personal info, right down to SSN. They mail me a debit card, jump through all the hoops again only to find out the account has $0. Customer support was simply to tell me there wasn't anything they could do about it. FRAUD. I don't understand how they can get away with stealing people's money.
If you call to resolve an issue they have someone call you in hopes you don't answer. When you try to call back they don't answer ever no matter what time. They are not transparent with there charges. For example, if you rent a car with the card they charge you $75 on top what the rental company charges. However it will not show that it is coming from them but the rental company. That $75 you will not get back and they make bunch of excuses so you will give up.
I loaded money on to Green Dot temporary card. I then requested a permanent card. After requesting the permanent card my temporary card no longer worked. Which was the exact opposite result from what was described not only on the paperwork but on there website. I've tried 2 different customer service numbers and the option to speak to a representative on the phone has been completely eliminated. I need help on how to get my money back from them.
I wish there was a no star rating. I got the card and have my direct deposit going in there. I got the card because it offered 5% cash back up to $250 dollars. I reached the 250 in a couple of months, one day I was checking my balance and it read my cashback was only $100. I called them and was told it was a system error and it would be fixed. Green dot bank is the worst..nobody that works can barely speak English. If you ask them a question its like they dont listen to what you say, cuz they have yet to answer any of my questions...and everytime I call i speak to a different person and get a different answer everytime about the same question.. they dont have any clue what there doing..and if your waiting on your new card to arrive cuz i had fraud on my account and had to close that card and get a new one,in the mean time while waiting for my card to arrive there ... read more
Bought a greendot reload card from Walmart . Had to buy 2 because I could only put 500.00 on each card. Purchased then to buy online products . While in the verification section it would not send me the code to my phone. I Tried 18 times to get this verified. I tried to contact costumer service and found out there is none prior to verifying the card. So I continued and now the card is useless except for in store in person purchases. How about this? I lost my card, forgot about it. Now... I don't have my card so I cannot go in for the CVV number to view the charges. I went through the that automated ****. NEVER, EVER had the option to explain. Now... The bank is stating is that my account number is not valid, They cannot find my social, nor my birthday. And they want me to pay off this bill but cannot find me. Am I nuts?
Very unprofessional, it's been over 2 weeks that I went to take money out of an A.T.M. The machine never gave me my money. I called customer service at the time it was closed.
