We purchased a card adding over 200.00 dollars to it but when we tried to use it there were no funds on it. We emailed green dot following their procedures but no action to correct it was ever made. In fact they never even responded. This happened in Nov. 2019. It's now Feb. 2020 and still no action or response. Terrible customer service.

Garbage fees, make it as difficult as possible to withdraw funds. Unscrupulous business practices. Predatory banking. Little to no customer service and foreign customer service reps don't have authority to fix problems.

Green dot is committing fraud! My bank card was lost so I purchased two green dot cards in order to make my car payment. I had to purchase two because I was told while I wait for my bank to be situated (each card has a $300 limit). Ok, no problem. The very NEXT day after purchase a $5 MONTHLY fee was added to the account, which had only been active for less than 24 hours. they told me to call same number that i called them on. when i explained they hung up on me. after waiting 2 hrs.. the first two times after waiting for like 15 mins, apiece they blew whistles into the phone to make me hang up. I am closing all my accounts.

Extremely horrible customer service. No one barely speaks English nor will even return a phone all or email. Would leave a ZERO star if I could!!

Anytime you call for assistance they always say they'll call back in two business, which they never do. My card's been blocked for 12 days and still no one at the company can give me an answer on when the block will be lifted. I verified all my info and transactions. I keep getting the run around. Their customer service reps aren't knowledgeable at all about any account info except balance and transactions.

Green Dot Bank is a group of scam artists. I am going to tell you all the secret they do not want you to know. Each time an arbitration claim is filed against them, they know it is in their best interest to settle because they are required to pay $4,000 for an arbitrator to decide. A complete scam! I received a $100 gift card from a family member but was forced to give my SS# to set up the account to access the money, was charged a $7.95 monthly fee, and was shipped a debit card that I did not want or ask for. Now this company is linked with my credit and SS#. Their packaging is misleading not making it apparent that this is not a gift card, and the website is completely misleading and to "activate your card" you end up requesting a personalized debit card.
