Transactions have disappeared with no credit back, stolen money by returning charges but not crediting back the money, poor customer service. Not secure at all. They tell you that you'll automatically get a credit for a dispute if it takes more than ten days but then right before they make you sign another dispute form which then gives them being those ten days.

The beginning of 2018, greendot put a permanent hold on my account and will not allow me to have access to my funds, but continues to take "fees' out of my account. They refuse to cancel my account or give me my money in any way,shape or form. They have taken fees for 2 straight years and will continue to do so until my account finally reaches zero..... I bought a Greendot card, just so I could use it for Apple pay. I put $200 on the card though a business because we are travelling out of town and thought it may be convenient. They suspended my card right away with no explanation. I attempted to call several times. I was on hold for 40 minutes, hung up. Called the next day, it kept disconnecting. I did not authorize them to have my refund on their card and I just received a generic email stating that. There wasn't a mention of my name, acct info or anything in regard to why my refund would be loaded to anything other than my traditional bank account. I tried contacting the business several times and every time the automated system ask for my social security number to investigate the issue and it keep asking me to try again because its invalid. Green dot corporation is a scam company, purchased a card for temporary use, however I found that it has too many hidden fees and wants too much of your personal information. I have tried calling Green Dot for a refund, however all I'm getting is a recorded message and can not speak with a live representative. The card has not been activated and or used, I would like a total refund...

I have had Green Dot for over 10 years and i am done with them! Customer service has been no help and 3 different representatives gave me conflicting information. Its been 8 days and Green Dot has not refunded my return of $1235.76 from Walmart. Not only did it put me in a bind, my rent is screwed. I was told the 21st and nothing! Im disappointed in Green Dot and i dont want to use them after another 4 days to hear back!

They want to hold my money hostage and not give me it. Have so many excuses as to why they won't shut down account like I've requested.. And simply transfer the funds. It's like talking to the brick wall

So on Friday 2/14/20 I ordered a Moneygram. Moments later cancelled the transaction with Moneygram. Moneygram cancelled it no problem. The problem is with GreenDot not releasing my money. I called GreenDot same day and let them know the transaction was cancelled and Moneygram never took the money. I'm still not seeing the funds back on my account. not 1 star at all they charge you just to have card and then you can't close it out was charged $7.95 on a $20 gift card for account Never Do any business with this company.
