Horrible business. Unresponsive. Unreliable. Unpredictable. Not a trustworthy place to park your hard earned money. The problem....limited solutions in the space so they can constantly victimize those less fortunate in our society just trying to start fresh. Same on you ***** ******. You claim to service a segment of our society. Yet you exploit them when they are the least likely to be able to defend themselves from terrible corporate practices and customer service that wouldn't be acceptable in the least developed countrie... read more

Multiple failures in the app, website, and overall customer service. The app will not load leading to many customer problems (see Facebook posts from on/around 04/15/2020 on Green Dot page). The website is causing multiple issues as well. There is not an option when calling to speak to anyone to resolve issues if you can even get through. Very frustrating and unprofessional conduct. I highly recommend people do their research before using this company/product.

This place is sketchy as ****. I cant log into my app or online and i cant see my balance people are complaining on facebook about it nothing is being done and i have proof they arent being as open as they claim they are. Theyre not being transparent at all. People dont have access to their vaults and it is becoming a severe issue due to the stimulus checks. I think this business needs an external investigation regarding transparency because im not the only person complaining. Their facebook page is proof.

Holding my money hostage!!! I'm going to pull what I can out at an ATM. Their app and website are both down!! Their customer service phone number is not even connected!!

Since Monday the customer service is horrible. The website is down. We can not call customer service. No one can access the balance information and some can't use their cards. No one is telling us what's happending. No one can access the stimulus money. We have family, food to buy, bills to pay and they are leaving all their customers in the dark. This is totally unfair.

Company has repeatedly failed to operate in a responsible manner. Currently, during a pandemic, the app doesn't connect so there is no way to view anything related to your money card (balance, etc.). Attempts to call the only telephone number provided end with a recorded message telling you that their number is no longer in service. Pretty basic services. This company should not be allowed to operate.

I saw ads touting 3% interest. I funded the account and now no Debit/ATM card an no response to email inquiries and no answer at any telephone number. Will fill complaint with banking regulators next

worse bank ever. had a card stolen and spoke with someone on the phone who could barely understand English. I asked if my 2 accounts could be transfered into one and come to find out today it wasn't. my account and card that was sent were put on a different account even though he said it wasn't and would be the one that is posted on irs for direct deposit. called today my money i can't touch and the rude lady kept interrupting me every time I spoke. she said we can send you a new card for the old account but can't transfer f... read more

I was given a GreenDot card as a xmas gift - person thought it was a gift card. Only when I opened the package did I see the small print "not a gift card". Can't use the card b/c they want my personal information which I will not provide to them - person wasted their $. Can't get through to customer service and didn't easily see an email address. Based on other comments this is not a company that has any customer service standards. One star rating is too high!
