My identity was stolen and used to open a Green Dot bank account. When I called to report the fraud, they gave me no assistance. Transunion credit requires a written letter from the business stating the account was opened fraudulently in order to remove it from the victim's credit report. The "customer service" representative told me that was my problem and that Green Dot would be filing no report. I wish that I could leave 0 stars to express my anger with this company! They took it upon themselves to block my card and hold hostage every penny I have worked for without any logical explanation!!! No online chat, no phone operators, no resolution, I'm just screwed with no help and no money!!! I wish I could get my hands on whoever did this!!! There's always something going wrong with them and when I get my money... I'm done with them!!! How could you do something like that to someone!
Advertises early deposits without any pending which is a absolute lie, cannot get ahold of anyone.
Someone fraudulently opened an account in my name. Used my information and even had a bank card sent to my address. However, Green Bank refuses to close the account and send confirmation. After waiting on hold for an hour, representative refused to close a fraudulent account or let me talk to a supervisor or manager that COULD help. Shame on you, Green Bank!
I opened up a greendot account on April 12th 2020. I was promised my card would arrive within 5-10 days. It's passed **** time. I had my refund / stimulus pay deposited into my new account but cannot access any of it to take care of my family or celebrate my twins 10th birthday or to feed them. I also made a payment to two utility companies a couple days ago in order to keep my utilities on and to avoid major late fees. I used my account number and routing number.
