They are predators and. You have to buy the card pay to load it then they charge the maintenance fee right after you register the cad then will not verify who you are.

This company is shady. They do not have an issue taking money from 3 minors whom recieved this card from there grandmother as a gift they cannot use since they are minors and state they can't activate it because of being minors. I also want to add the why is there social security number needed to activate. But still I did add my own ss# to activate but once I did a service charge was instantly charged but the card still can't be used by them. My green dot card is blocked and I can't use it and know one will help me I it's been over a month and I can't talk to a representative I call all day every day my money is on that card and I need to pay bill can someone please help me thank you

I had two pending deposits of $100 each that were held as deposits. The company that held the money released the funds. I called to find out when Green Dot would release the funds and told me it would be another month and a half before I would see this money in my account again. DO NOT use your Green Dot Debit card for any sort of deposits as it takes over two months to get the money back! They said they could do nothing because the transaction is pending. Green Dot Bank (on line Banking) It is to belive that they may conducting busniess within violations of US Federal Banking Ethics and Laws. Normally green dot would be the only card I'd buy but after not being able to use my card after a mistype during registration and no option to correct the error was available nor was I able to reach anyone who could help me fix this issue leaving me with past due bills in debt and a card with my cash that they had no problem authorizing the monthly fee without me getting to spend a single cent.

I opened my green dot account around late/mid april. My covid19 stimulus relief was supposed to be direct deposited to my account on April XX XXXX. I have not received that $1200 dollars. A friend direct deposited 100 dollars yesterday and I have not received the 100 dollars either. I have had zero luck contacting customer service. I have sent emails and nothing has been resolved. I want my money asap

Just want to share my experience with this pre paid card. My husband purchased a well what he thought was a visa gift card for Christmas. Well that is not what it is. It is a pre paid visa card that has to have money added to it. Who knew....until you get a bill for and unpaid balance that you were not aware of. Not good for the credit report. Be sure to read the fine lines.

Awful customer service. Trying to cancel my card. Received it as a gift card, they charge you just under $8 a month. I am trying to cancel my card but they make it impossible to reach out to anyone. I've been calling and emailing but no one responds.
