Terrible service. Terrible website. No way to get a hold of anyone to help solve problems. Was issued a new debit card when all i wanted to do was activate my gift card. No way to reach the company to get it straightened out. I called immediately to stop the card and was told it would not be sent, i did not have an additional account and no information would be exchanged to my credit history. it was all lies. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY, ITS A TOTAL SCAM!
This company is the worst!! This is such a scummy deal that they have running! Do not do business with them!!! Go to your banks nearest branch and get a prepaid debit card from them! My story is very similar to all the account that I read on here. So I will not be typing a long story detailing what happened with me! I'll just tell you that these post are extremely accurate to my experience! This company is scum and should not be able to legally operate in this industry!
They canceled my account with over 3 grand in it and im un able to get my money or talk to a person
Don't deal with this company. I had the unfortunate luck of using their services because i drive for Uber. You cannot contact them if there is an issue, and apparently they can ignore it if they choose. I had a dispute charge back on March 1st (I was hacked or something for $121). I filed a dispute and changed my password. Never heard a word about it. Their communication system is set up to deter you from contacting them. It's always frustrating to try to contact them even though they claim to have a chat option (I finally had to Google their email address. Their fees are excessive, but that is what one signs up for. I would not recommend Green Dot unless you like to spend since they will charge you if don't.
I am currently receiving unemployment due to covid 19 I am a teacher out of work! I've had my walmart money card from green dot for 9 years. I have had so many issues with them but figured it was easier then switching all of my accounts. Well yesterday green dot closed my bank account with a lot of money in it. I have been trying to contact this company to speak to a live agent to resolve my account issues ever since I signed up. I am getting no resolution. All of the numbers online do not work, how the heck do I speak to a live agent to help me?
Not only is the company a scammer getting away with white collar crime by the judicial system. I believe if looked into further we can find "selling information for identify theft. I second Jane F. review below, she is correct 100%. I tried to resolve a small issue one month after signing up and receive the same service as Jane F.
