Stay away from this card. I repeat stay away if you can. The Walmart card issue by green dot bank is not reliable. My account was banned for no reason and they refuse to send the balance of $450 in the account back to my other account I sent to them. It's over a month and I still haven't gotten satisfied response or refund of my money. The customer service is horrible, you would be lucky if they pick your call within an hour. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! Continue to utilize your secured regular banks such as Bank of America, Chase, & etc.. I've had several unauthorized transactions on my account which I had proof and they denied my claims. Everything is all good until someone is stealing your money! They don't have a dispute process it's a waste of time. The representative will talk in circles and they always know absolutely NOTHING! I spent 4 hours on hold and asked a simple question. Then they just hung up on me. How am i suppose to gain access to my money? This is why you cant trust banks.
This company takes about 2 hours to even speak to a customer representative. Its very frustrating when you have an urgent matter that needs to be resolved right away. That is my only issue. It never used to take an hour to 2 hours to speak to someone. The wait is really aggravating and exhausting. Im very displeased with this and it needs to be fixed immediately!
My tax refund was sent to a turbotax card by greendot !!! I never recieved the card or any information about the card when I try to call to report the card never recieved since I had a turbotax card with them last year to enter the last 4 digits of the card I'm calling about , I cant do that because I do not have the card information!!! Everytime I try to log onto my online account it says my information is incorrect and in order to reset it i need the 1y digit card number of the card i never got !! This company is committing fraud. Won't release my grown daughters tax refund to her card from last year and mailed a new card that was never requested out through the mail so her money is now out there on a card and god only knows who has it. No one can fix any issues as everyone seems incompetent. I am hiring an attorney and suing this company. With all these complaints they should be investigated and shut down. There is no excuse.
I sent money to a friend she claim money through text and put her card number in however we noticed she did not get the money, it was accidentally issued to the wrong recipient names didn't match. Call in to get money back they blocked the wrong recipients account and made me make a dispute. I am on dispute number three because they keep denying it. Money is still on wrong recipients card and they refuse to reverse payment
I got the card because I filed with turbo tax my package was stolen and the merchant couldn't give me a refund because it said delivered but informed me to dispute it with the merchant so they could okay the dispute through the company. When I disputed first they give you the option to dispute transactions you never received goods for but when you do pick it and dispute it they say "it's not they job to give me a refund for goods never received" so I have a $200 order which I never received and neither "merchant" can do some... read more
I called at least 5 times today ( 03/06/20) to check on the status of my dispute.Every time that I'm transferred to the dispute center the woman asked for my card number and my phone number.I gave her the phone number and she lied talking about that isn't the phone number we have on file.I called back and recorded the conviction, and I immediately asked to speak with a manager and was told that my account had to be verified to speak with a manager.Wtf!!!!!!!
