I put $400 dollars on a card that clearly said reloadable,and when I went to register it for online purchases,they said since I had a previous green dot account that I could only use my card for in store purchases,,,I got that card to pay bills online and now all they said I can do is use it in person. I had the account opened for about a month now and decided to use the debit card transfer option to use in order to pay my rent. So I selected to transfer $400 and received a debit card transfer is currently unavailable message. Then my card was still charged for the full amount of $400! Greendot needs to be held accountable, I had funds in my account from department of labor and they suddenly closed my account. When I call the representative is completely unprofessional and will not let me speak to a supervisor. I have read many complaints why are they still in business such a fraud to steal people's money in a such a tragic time is just terrible. Shame on Greendot I will be contacting my lawyer.
Have a prepaid card that I can't activate or register
I received Insight Mobile Banking account statement in the mail (2 so far) with return address of Green Dot Corporation. I tried to call them to tell them I did not open an account. I entered the account number that was on the account statement, into the phone and the robot said it was not correct. I was not able to speak with a person. I received a second account statement and emailed them to tell them I did not open this and wanted it closed. I have not received any response back yet.
Your service sucks no one speaks English norhgets done been trying to get a replacement card for over 3 months I want my ******* money do not use this service this company does not give a **** about the people who uses it worst company ever im going to have to hire a lawyer in order to get anything done **** green dot!!!!!!!!
Walmart Money Card customer service is awful. Some how someone got my card number and made 4 transactions and when I called the Walmart Money card people I got no help. I waited the 15 minutes it took to talk to someone he advised he was transferring ,me to the dispute department and I am placed on hold for over two hours. This bank is a scam attached to uber under the guise of "rewards". They make it literally impossible to close your account so that you will accrue fees. There are no humans to speak with on the phone. Just infinite waiting lists. Their rewards are just a reframing of standard prices for services. Basically you are paying monthly fees for a coupon book full of coupons that don't actually work. I am trapped in this account that cannot be closed, and there is no one to contact about it. Very expensive! They charge fees for every transaction you have with the card. I paid over $120 in fees the first month alone because they charge a $1.50 transaction fee regardless the cost of the transaction. Want to reload your card? That'll be over $5.00 fee, want to take money out of the ATM. $3.00 Fee plus the ATMs fee, same goes for cash back at a store register. This company's practices are opportunistic and predatory. Stayaway from these prepaid cards, they're bad news!
