Golden One sets their customers up for failure! Ive been a customer since 2016. And still to this day Im stuck with their free checking option, cannot grow into the next checking account option because they make it impossible to do so. If you have ONE overdraft you must wait another 12 months without one to qualify- which would be fine if their system wasnt set up for you to not be able to grow. I used to think they were a great company to work for and bank with ! Turns out that they are not and them being non profit isn't 100% accurate ! They laid off myself and several other employees last October 2023 due to work volume just to turn around and start hiring again a few months later! The severance received was taxed like crazy! Probably the worst experience I have had with a bank. Their customer service has a severe lack of follow through. We have chased our tails trying to work with them through their process to re structure a loan they took over and at the end they decided they wouldnt do it anymore. Citing that they called us on a weekend and we didnt respond in time. They called us on a Saturday (we were out of town) and we called them first thing Monday morning. I have had a recent incidence of theft in *****. I had reported the claim as fraud and the credit union gave me credit. However, after they had finished with their investigation they had revoked the credit leaving me with a negative balance on my account. I called and only to get no help from the credit union. I am absolutely in distraught as I am needing to pay bills and my paycheck is almost equivalent to the credit deducted. Absolutely a horrible experience.
Golden 1 credit union with **** ****** out of my checking account to pay a ********************** card bill without my consent. This is a violation of the fair credit act, this the second time this has happened this year. Find another bank!
They take over Federal truth in lending contracts, and then fail to uphold them. When you were told by representatives to keep the line of communication open with them and they will work with you, thats false. The rules and regulations are constantly changing by month-to-month or day by day. One day there could be no fees and then the next month your day and youre charged all the fees. In December of 2023 my car was at Ernies towing in ***** and when I went to get it learned it was repossessed a few days prior , which I didnt receive anything informing me of the repossession. I had never missed or been late on a payment and even made a monthly car payment while it was at the tow yard. I received an email from my bank stating that my recent transaction was not completed, because I did not have enough funds in my account. I called my bank and they looked into it to see that the merchant that tried to pull money from me was Golden 1 Credit. I had never even heard of this business. From reading all of the reviews and complaints about them, I can see exactly how shady they are. How are you going to try and pull $1100 from one of my accounts when I have never even heard of you? Terrible service no wonder the kings dont win. 3 hours on the phone and cant get a wrongful transaction corrected garbage personnel for the most part they will make you run around and jump through hoops for no reason, they will mess with your statements take money from your account and even lie about payments not coming out of your account and attempt to s**** you over. Do not bank with them completely overrated like their garbage team and stadium.
