My father, 89 years old, lives in a condo and has a GE over-under dryer-washer unit we purchased for him about 3 years ago. The dryer has stopped working. I called a local repairman, who told me that the GE over-unders in that age range do not work properly after about 3 years, and that I'd be better off dealing directly with GE to schedule a service call. NEGATIVE 5 STARS!! Our experience has gone from bad to worse. The technician arrived today within the 4 hour window and contacted both my father and myself. That was good. Everything else was appalling. 1) The tech (Rob - phone number *************) informed my parents he couldn’t do anything at all because the dryer is stacked on top of the washer. ***** **********, who took over GE, provides terrible customer service and does not stand behind its products. Below is correspondence I forwarded to the company back in February 2019, and I have yet to receive a response. They continue to send me past due invoices, but don't bother following their own procedural guidelines. HORRIBLE! Never will buy another GE appliance again. I "upgraded" the range in my new Ryan home to a GE double wall oven. Only 17 months later i am paying hundreds of dollars to have a technician come out to fix it. It won't even turn on!!!!!!!! i prepare my families dinner in my oven often. This is a major inconvenience and disappointment. No more GE for this family, ever.

I wish I could give GE a big "0" star rating. We purchased a GE refrigerator in September, 2008, and they they have been to my home eleven (11) times to repair this refrigerator, nine of these times was for the same issue, and last week they deemed the refrigerator "non-repairable". GE is offering to sell me another refrigerator at a discounted price; however, I can go to Lowe's and purchase the model refrigerator they priced at a price less than their "discounted" price. NEGATIVE 5 STARS! This is My 2nd GE washer in 2 1/2 years. The first one (June 2016)broke 3 times in the first year. The 4th time it was past the original 1st year warranty and would cost $460 to repair. So My ******* buys a 2nd New washer (May 2018) and in is less than a year it has been broken for more than 3 months since I bought it. It is broken again now for over 2 weeks for the same reason it was just a few months ago. The main board needs replacing again and the soonest they can get parts to us is April 10th! I purchased a GE Refrigerator in 2016 for $2,600. Just one year later it started to have problems. I had to purchase an extended warranty for + $500. I am so disgusted with this situation! I have had to call for service/repair twice in 2017 and 2018. Here it is March 2019 and I have a repair again. The repairs have all been for the same thing. On one of the waits for a repair the entire computer board stopped working and had to have that repaired as well. GE needs to come get this dam refrigerator and stick it where the sun ... read more

Please listen to me when I say this, do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY GE products. They sell an inferior product and more importantly they do not stand behind it! Customer service is literally non existent! The tech was at my home on 4 different occasions and finally I had enough and hired a local appliance repair person to fix the problem. The only reason I am giving one star is because the last consumer advocate, Christina was able to offer us some kind of insight. She was the only person out of nearly 1/2 dozen who offered some clarity on why we kept receiving bills for service already completed and paid for in full months prior. It was obviously a clerical error, but no one would listen--until we spoke with Christina. She said she would reach out to the technician, but we have yet to hear back.
