I purchased a GE washer, model GTW460 in July 2016. Just a little over 2 years later (of course after the warranty had expired), the transmission went out. The store I purchased it from would not help with anything other than coming out to "repair" it. I purchased replacement parts directly from GE because the appliance store wanted to charge me over $500 for the parts and I got them from GE for $93. The repair was made but it only lasted 1 month. Horrible came to fix my freezer what was not getting cold enough , 10 hours after they live both fridge and freezer now are dead. impossible to call anyone you get stuck in a loop

I purchased a GE refrigerator from ***** last June 2Oth. Unfortunately, I was not notified of its non-operation by my tenant until 7/31 which was past the return window for *****. Today marked probably the 8th, 9th or 10th time a tech has either come out or not showed up for an appointment...honeslty I have lost track! I purchased a GE Washer model GTW460 June 28, 2017. It is a lemon. I have had about 4 or 5 parts replaced and it is only 1 1/2 years old. I am now on my second week without a washer. It takes a week for a part to come in. I would never buy another GE washer. Nothing but trouble. I only gave One Star because it is the lowest one. Should be a Zero.

I purchased a dishwasher at ***** a few years ago. I believe it had a 2 year warranty. Model # GDF520PGJWW. The warranty ran out 12/01/17. I didn't go for an extended term. It wasn't but about 2 month later, the racks started rusting as the coating was coming off. It has progressively gotten worse. About half the tines on the rack have rusted off, I pick them up out of the bottom almost daily. I purchased and had installed a complete suite of GE profile appliances right before Thanksgiving - 2018 Tuesday before. On Sunday I noticed one crack in the surface of the stove. I used a razor blade to see if it was a scratch. I felt nothing on surface of the stove. The following day the crack lengthened to 1 1/4“. Purchased March 2017 GE 1.6 cu. ft. Over the Range Microwave Oven in Stainless Steel, Model # JVM3160RF3SS, serial SG247342A, started blowing internal fuse every few days after 18 months (warranty of 12 months of course). Best offer was a $100 credit to buy the same junk. They are producing garbage, just to last beyond the warranty. DO NOT BUY GE APPLIANCES. Not buying them for my rental properties either.

I would give ge no stars if I could. I read some reviews about ge and I agree this company is a scam. My dryer is done after owning it less than 3 years. They make an inferior product and as usual the consumer pays for it. They were unapologetic offer me a new dryer that is the same garbage as my previous one. Say clear of their products especially dryers I read reviews that several people complained about the motors going on the dryers and ge still does nothing about it, but keeps scamming the public that it is a good produ... read more

GE Appliance Company is a scam. They hope they wear you out so the warranty runs out, or you just give up!
