I ordered a GE washer machine on 9/26 from the **** ***** website. The delivery date was Wed Oct 3. I took off work awaiting washer and by 11:00am I decided to call and check the status. I spoke with a representative at GE they stated my washer was not routed to a delivery today do they had to reschedule. I asked why and she could not provide any details so I requested to speak with a supervisor. I have a GE Cafe cooktop came with my newly bulit house. Within 18 months, the upper right knob is split, the lower right knob backlight stopped working, and the central burner’s igniter doesn’t work properly (more than half of the time I have to use a lighter to light it up). For a $1200 product this is really crappy quality. I talked to customer service and they insist I pay for all the replacement parts and labor because the warranty is only good for one year. I purchased Gas Range ************, and used the oven the first time, when I found fiberglass in my meal. I immediately called GE who sent a repairman a week later, the repairman trimmed the insulation with a knife and "stuffed some" back in. He was shown numerous holes where the insulation was exposed, he said that he can not fix that and"it should be okay". I bought a kitchen package from GE and submitted the invoice for rebate. I waited for months, their provider email said it would take weeks. I checked in and GE said that my rebate was denied because I did not have the receipt. The receipt is saved on the claim submission. They claimed to have contacted me, but that did not happen. I never received further communication. I want the rebate I submitted for and qualified for.
** Our two year old GE Profile Dryer just stopped working. Called GE Service..it took one week for them to show. Apt. said somewhere between 8 and 5.They would not narrow the time frame. My wife called twice and they finally showed at 5:30pm after we waited all day. Dryer repair needed a thermistor which they didn't have and said it would be another 10 days to get the part. After three months of owning the GE Café Dual Range we have multiple problems with it. First, the tri-ring 21000 BTU burner stopped working properly. When turned on, the flame would only come out of half the burner. Secondly, the ignitor on the two middle burners started attempting to ignite even though they when not in use. I confirmed the burners were in the off position, and yet the burners were attempting to ignite. This is a particularly concerning and dangerous malfunction for a gas stove. GE was supposed to repair our fridge. It has been 3 weeks they have been out twice and it is still broken. Today they didn’t show up for an appointment and no one knew the drivers number. They have not been able to offer any solution despite multiple emails, tweets, and calls
Ordered two parts for a combo washer/dryer that broke within 2 years. Originally was told the parts would ship in 7-10 business days. The parts did not arrive so I called to check in. Was told the parts would be there three weeks later. The parts did not arrive again and the delivery again got pushed back another month. I still do not have them and have no assurance that the parts will ever arrive and I cannot get a manager on the phone to speak to. Poor quality of appliances offered as part of a rebate. Run....don’t walk from any GE appliance rebate offers. Service after the sell is abysmal. Our very expensive refrigerator cannot consistently produce ice. After 12 months and countless service calls, GE closed the ticket and said unit was functioning normally. I will never purchase another GE applicance.
