I had GE service come to my house to diagnose a problem with my range fan. After 30 mins of the repair person looking like he did not know what a range fan was, he claimed the unit was defective and it needed to be replaced. he then charged me $140 dollars for the service call and went on his way... well it turns out that the only thing that was wrong was the switch. He would have know this if he even hooked up a multi meter. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF USING GE FOR ANY REPAIRS, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.

I purchased a large refer on line, from a Brooklyn retailer for just over $6200.00 GE PSB48YSKBSS, stainless built in refrigerator 8/31/17. The refer was delivered not working NO Ice or water could be produced or obtained through the door unit. The GE technician has been here now three times to fix the unit over a month and a half. GE should save money and close their customer service department. I contacted customer service 3 times on 10/23/2017 hoping that I could fine someone that had at least enough knowledge to look up the information and provide some guidance. Purchased their new nugget ice maker and the associated pump. All instructions are great and simple - EXCEPT - the electrical connections for the pump. There are 3 plug-ins (pigtails) of which 2 are simple. The problem is the 3rd connection - it has a 2 wire (red & white) and it simply says... read more

GE service is terrible. New compressor which had warranty of 5 years was non-functional within a year. GE charged to replace that. On top of that, gentleman who came to replace compressor was so rude. Terrible service...

Last week our 8 month old GE dryer stopped working due to a motor failure. We were assigned warranty repair first available appointment for this afternoon on Friday, October 6, six days after making the initial service call. My wife made several calls to GE customer service during this week to confirm the appointment date and time and received assurances that all was confirmed for a technician to arrive today before 5 p.m. When 4:00 pm arrived without a service person arriving/calling, we called to determine the problem only... read more

I just moved into a house with GE appliances, and I've had nothing but problems with them. The dishwasher is missing parts and the blade keeps hitting the basket. So like an idiot, I ordered the parts from GE Parts. It's 5 days later, and I still have not received a confirmation of my order; I've sent multiple inquiries to their site with no answer. Sometimes when I call them, they find a record of my order, and sometimes not. But still no email confirmation. The last person I talked to said they are "on their way." Why can'... read more

The worst company in making washing machines and customer service. I bought a washing machine and the spin & drain doesn't work from first use. I called the company so many times, they came several times and changed the electronic part and it never fixed for over a year. I asked for replacement but they refused and asked me to buy another one and pay for it. I will never buy anything from GE, and please don't waste your money with GE

I purchased set of GE appliances on 3/8/15 at Lowes paid $947.25 for washer the dryer is fine. I thought the timing might be going bad about 6 months ago because it kept resetting it self and them it started to get really noisy. We called for a serviceman last month in August he told us the rotator was going bad could not find anything wrong with timer. Said it would cost $700 to replace. I mean I would think spending that amount of money it would last a little bit longer than 2 years. I'm writing this review so others will ... read more

We have a G E fridge less than five years old that quite cooling and is currently under an extended warranty with Assurant. The repairmen came seemed knowledgable but very unprofessional. They diagnosed it as being the compressor and would have to order the parts through Assurant, The next problem was getting through to GE to learn the status of the part which they could only tell me was incomplete.
