I filled out online rebates in DEC of 2017 for a $2,000 stove top, and I filled out ALL lines and sent a copy of my receipt, But in March they sent and Email asking for more info and then when I sent it they tell me that the Rebates are Now expired .. OF COURSE .. they waited 3 months to contact me over something I know I sent them .. This was for a 25$ Rebate that I don't think they ever intended to give. Too early to rate stove .. GE. Absolutely the worst company to deal with. I have been dealing with a brand new lemon of a dishwasher since November (bought from *******. 6 service calls, 4 of those were no shows and 1 was forgotten about even though I have the confirmation emails on them all. GE Adora Refrigerator. If you want to feel like the MOB really owns your refrigerator and you have to pay 50 bucks every 6 months to keep using it, then by all means buy this GE "SMART" product. Trust me the "SMART" part is that they have found a way to charge you a 100 bucks a year to own their refrigerator. You see they have put a RF tag reader into the refrigerator. I bought my home last year, all the appliances are new GE appliances. I was having issues with my washer/dryer and called to get service, first they troubleshooted over the phone, but did not stay on the line to see if it worked. The trouble shooting did not. A technician came out and diagnosed the problem instantly, but doesn't keep the necessary parts on the truck so he ordered them and scheduled me for another day. I give GE Appliances and Appliance Repair one star only because no (or negative) stars is not an option. I have never been ripped off to such an outrageous extent by any company in my entire seventy-six years of life. I have a GE over-the-range microwave oven that was blowing fuses. My husband and I got a fridge from Home Depot (our dryer and stove, which we just purchased in the last 3 years, are both GE) which was supposed to be delivered last Friday. Back to last friday: First, the delivery company never called to let us know when they were coming. The worst thing I hate about my job is having to deal with GE warranty. They are the worst in the world. I wait 2 weeks for my appointment and than the tech is out sick so now I have to wait another weeks. Another occasion, The tech said an Adam at the office didn't let him in so he left and canceled the appointment, Never once called and we have no one in the building named Adam. Another time, One tech knows that we close at 5 so he will call at 4:59 to say he is running late and that we have to reschedule for another 2 wee... read more
We waited 2 weeks for an appointment with GE. They called twice to confirm and we confirmed the appointment. On the day of service, they called my cell to confirm and I missed the call by 5 minutes. They left no number to call back and immediately cancelled the appointment. It took me 15 minutes to get a hold of a representative and by the time I did, the technician wouldn't come back. They wouldn't schedule another appointment for another week. Try another service...
I had to schedule three appointments for service. The technicians just call you from an unknown number and let the phone ring once. This made us lose two days of work. When we were able to "catch" the technician, he refused to do the work (i.e., changing an odorous gasket under warranty), indicating that it was the soap that we were using citing his "30 years of experience" and that the engineer "who advised us to change the gasket was new." I am extremely disappointed with GE.
