Very disappointed in the service that was performed, especially after spending $100.00 just for having my appliance diagnosed. Technician was friendly and all, but the appliance was incorrectly diagnosed, leading to ordering the incorrect part for the appliance. Back to poking and prodding on my own in order to figure out the problem on my own.
Similar to other reviews, we have a french door GE profile series fridge that is 3 years old. Vegetables/fruit droors were freezing and remainder of fridge wasn't staying cool. Had to pay $300 in service repair for a blown fan, plus the cost of lost/spoiled food for a family of 4. This is a garbage product and shouldn't need to be replacing parts for a fridge that cost $3K and is only 3 years old. When I reviewed the product on GE's website, the response from GE? "This is unusual". Really? Many reviews with the same issue. D... read more
Purchased a whole ge monogram kitchen. Three years later things are breaking down, ice maker completely died. Ge won't cover it. Horrible customer service. Beware, do yourself a favor and stay away from ge products.
We have a GE Profile French Door refrigerator with bottom freezer. Our food in the refrigerator, including the fruits and vegetables in the humidity drawers, are constantly freezing. The settings are at the manufacturer's levels ("0" for freezer, "37" for fridge). We tried reducing the fridge temperatures, so the fruits and veggies aren't freezing anymore, but the food and drinks including milk, is no longer cold. If you look at the tons of Youtube videos with customers having the exact same problem, you will easily see that... read more
I have owed a GE washing machine for a little over a year now and it has been nothing but trouble with tripping our circuit breaker in a brand new house. We reported an issue back in January and 7 months later still have the same problem. We have had several GE service calls with three or four different GE technicians out to the house. I have had my electrician to the house to verify the breaker and outlets are in good working condition. Back in January we verified thewashingmachinewas on its own dedicated circuit so nothing... read more
l bought five stackable washer and dryer within 5 years. They all went out with same problem - tub/trans assy had to replace within three years. They're expensive $385 for just the part. According to the technician - GE having this issue for years and start to recall them last year. They advised to call GE to send part for free. Kaila the supervisor that I talked to was particular rude and denied the fact it was their problem. The model is GTUP270EM1WW , bought them from ******. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCT ESPECIALLY THIS MODEL... read more
Model # GDT 580 SMF ES; Serial # VD776355; Purchase date 4/20/15; dishwasher installed end of June 2015 after complete kitchen renovation. On 3/1/16 it started leaking water. Repair man replaced the seal and it leaked again on 4/13/16. Repair man came back 3 more times and then finally no more leaks for almost one year. 6/1/17 it's leaking again and of course no longer under warranty. Purchase price for leaking piece of garbage was $629! There are only 2 adults living in the home and we always pre-rinse all our dishes and of... read more
We purchased our first GE appliance, a wall combination microwave and oven, in February 2016. In February 2017, two weeks prior to the warranty expiration, I used the self-cleaning feature and encountered an error with the door lock function, which caused the oven to emit a constant loud clicking noise. GE repaired the issue at no charge. I again used the self-cleaning feature today (6/1/2017) and the same loud noise occurred. Upon calling GE's service area, I was told that I would be charged $99 for the call, plus parts and... read more
Had a service call to fix our dishwasher. The plastic panel that covers the buttons on the door had broken off. I ordered a new one (~$30) and found that it didn't just snap on, as I thought it would. They had to remove the door, which other appliance repairmen said they couldn't do, so I had to call GE. They came out and charged us $215 for 25 minutes of work. That is over $400/hr!!! The cost is obscene. I will not use them again unless I absolutely have to!
