Do not trust reviews on their website! I bought a washer and dryer. They ended up being the absolute worst and huge waste of money!! I tried to leave a review on their website and I got an email back saying my product review could not be submitted because it didn’t met their policy!! I found their policy and I can assure you there was nothing breaking policy rules. They only allow good reviews to be posted. That is so messed up. Don’t trust anything on their website. They are a bunch of liars.

Purchased a dryer whose mother board stopped working. It’s under warranty so it shouldn’t have been an issue. When the maintenance came to fix it they said they didn’t have the part until the end of the month. So therefore I was going to be out of a dryer for a good period of time. NO one communicated to me that the part was actually ordered and being delivered. I spoke to two people within hours of each other of who I had to call and they both had drastically different answers and responses. The lack of communication, treat... read more

I purchased a GE Front Load washer in April of 2015. I have had to have the unit repaired 5 times since I purchased it. I have requested that it be considered a "lemon" through the 3rd party warranty company. However, they state that since the exact same part hasn't failed 3 times they will not replace or refund the washer. I feel, that I should not be expected to keep using a product that continually breaks down. I have a large family and have to haul all laundry to laundromat and spend $40 a week after paying $900 for a wa... read more

DO NOT BUY GE Appliances! I am in a new house (2 years old now) and have had problems with every kitchen appliance. I hate them and wish I had of chosen another brand. My refrigerator had to be replaced, the microwave went out the first week and it took 2 weeks to get it fixed. The glass cooktop had to be replaced due to flaws under the glass. The new one still has bubbles under it but not as bad as the first. Makes it look like there are dirty spots on it. The dishwasher has broken down 3 times. 3rd time was this morning. I... read more

Purchased an entire set of kitchen appliances for our new build in 12/2017, installed 4/2018. GE Profile Bottom Freezer Counter Depth Refrigerator is a lemon: compressor failed and replaced under warranty, and now has a freon leak, which should be covered under warranty. They will not cover as we had another company out first to figure out what the problem with the freezer was: this supposedly voids the sealed system warranty. After spending 90 minutes arguing with Customer Relations on the phone, they finally agreed to cove... read more

We bought a GE build in microwave Model # ************ in July 2017. While heating some food on Jan 4 it started making a noise and flashing. l walked over and saw flames coming out of the right panel behind the bulb (they called it the wave guide) on the inside. I was able to blow it out but it melted part of the inner wall. I contacted customer service and after reviewing my concern they offered to sell me a discontinued model that had bad reviews on their own website at a discounted rate($250.00). It was black and not sta... read more

The refrigerator we bought in 2018 was a piece of junk.

Business response:

The refrigerator was bought on 2/17/28. On 12/31/19 it stopped cooling. A service call was set up. The service charge was $107.00. I The outcome was, the compressor went out. The cost of repairs is $587.00. I bought a new refrigerator, instead.

I have a GE Profile gas range I bought 13 years ago. It is in good shape but have recently chipped the glass. I called to replace the glass and they no longer make the part and said I have to buy a new stove. This is unacceptable for a major appliance not to have replacement parts after this amount of time. Will never buy GE again.

Terrible customer service. Didn’t listen to my problem which was that the new refrigerator, delivered that day, didn’t work. Had the nerve to tell me that it’s normal and that I should wait at least 24 to 48 hours before calling to complain. And judging by the wait times, for a representative, they get a lot of complaints. Customer care with this company is worthless. I had to call the retailer and have them pressure GE to send me a replacement. But the best that GE could do for timing was 2 weeks out. I will never buy anoth... read more
