This company is a bunch of idiots! They have charged me for labor, and they can't tell me the technician's labor rate. They also misdiagnosed my freezer problem, charged me for a part I didn't need because it didn't fix the problem, and now they won't refund me! NEVER BUY A GE APPLIANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A joke!!! My dishwasher has 2 motherboards that burned out after 18 months and the technician they sent told me to buy a new one because the cost would be more than the appliance!!! I called, and after an hour of being passed around I finally was told they would cover the part prices after complaining that the product should last more than 2 years. I waited patiently for the parts and an email to confirm the date it would arrive. After a week and a half I didn’t get anything. I called again and once again was prompted to ans... read more

I’ve been trying to get my brand new refrigerator fixed for the last 2 years. Hundreds of phone calls/emails, trouble shooting and replacing parts myself for hours, and 4 wasted days waiting for a technician who didn’t know how to fix it. I’ve called every number and emailed every email I can find and still can’t get a repair technician on the phone. I want them to look at the notes and tell me what they can try that hasn’t been done before instead of coming for a FIFTH time and wasting my time again and trying all the same ... read more

Don't buy from this company. They sell very low quality products even for the price and their customer service reflects the company's apathy on the matter. Bought a $700 refrigerator from GE and have been dealing with a humming noise that can be heard in every room on the same floor. Every other refrigerator I've ever used in my life was virtually silent, even fridges of comparable price, and those in apartments and hotels, and I assume everybody else has had a similar experience. However, GE maintains that it is normal for ... read more

GE BUYER BEWARE!!! We purchased a GE Gas Range with convention oven Model #JGS760SEL3SS from Home Depot. This model was rated top of the line however this rating is very wrong. The oven has not worked correctly since we purchased it. The oven shuts off after preheat and the only way the oven does work is if the burner is lit on the stove. We contacted GE customer service and an appointment with a S&E Tech was scheduled. The tech came and diagnosed the issue as the control board. The part was ordered. The tech came back and r... read more

In March of 2019 my husband and I purchased a GE front load washing machine. In November 2019 it started leaking. We called GE as it was still under warranty and they had a technician out two weeks later. He informed us he would order the parts and be back once those were in to repair our washing machine. Come to find out the parts were back ordered and no one had any idea when they'd be available. I called in January, still no idea when the parts would be in. Called again a week later and magically the products would be at ... read more

I purchased a newly built home which had all brand new GE appliances in the kitchen. After 2 years and 5 months, the microwave no longer heats the food. I had a 3rd party appliance repairman come to do a diagnostic evaluation. He informed me that the magnetron has gone bad. To have this repaired would be the same price as purchasing a new microwave. He also informed me that the magnetron should never go bad in such a short amount of time. I contact GE and my warranty was for 2 year so the best they can offer is a $75 "good w... read more

GE slate dishwasher model ************ has a part used (part # **********) that is a known problem by them. It is a plastic part with a rubber hose that plastic welded to the part so you cant just replace the hose and have to replace the whole part. The rubber deteriorates very fast, mine only took two years but other have report as soon as 3-6 months. They replaced this failed part with something else but are now charging its customer $90 for this new part that they know is bad. There is no way this part costs more that $10... read more

Purchased a new home in 2009 with new GE appliances already installed. Within the last year, the overlay board on the wall unit double oven began to bubble and touch pieces just started to fall off. Called GE and waited 35 minutes for “ next available” support rep. Finally called using different phone and opted for callback. Callback came about 10 minutes later while I was still on”hold”. Unacceptable. Part is no longer available. GE knew that a problem existed. Was told that although there was no official recall, notificati... read more
