My microwave in my brand new construction home stopped allowing me to open it with the button. I had to break the door to get my plate of pizza out of the microwave. GE replaced the microwave and admitted that the latch on this particular model is known to be faulty. A year later (when the microwave was still in warranty) the latch on the new microwave started to stick. Don’t purchase GE products from **** *****. Purchased a refrigerator and ice maker quit after 6 months. After three service technicians from GE and $800 dollars. Repairman says it’s an internal issue and can’t be repaired! Two years later, I’m still making ice manually and GE will not take responsibility. To get a lawyer and sue will be $3500. So I’m stuck with a $1800 refrigerator that don’t make ice! Do not by GE appliances because they do not back them or repair them!

My wife and I purchased all new GE appliances less than a year ago. My wife was set on getting a full size double oven and really liked the GE line. However we are now starting to regret buying this line as we do lots of cooking and baking and the double oven is not working for the second time in a month. I understand things happen and equipment breaks down however, when we called ge for service Saturday we were told they could not get someone out till Thursday to look at it. I purchased a dryer on 3/15. Took 10 days to deliver. I installed a week after. After 5 uses my dryer stopped working. Board fried according to tech. On backorder. According to the first call it takes 24-48 hours to Put a request on to find the part and if they cannot they will send out a replacement unit. 4 days later I call back. They never called me. Now I’m told it will take till May 6th to find the part or send a replacement. After spending over 1k on a dryer to wait 5 weeks for a fix is Not customer service. Not my fau... read more

JEB1090 model was bad for a microwave. Not only was problem with glass shattering. The plug in electrical outlet sparked. I thought something bad would happen. I had to quickly grab plug out socket (fearing I would get electrocuted). And had to deal with broke oven door, fearing glass could hit my body or face. I already have to get eye tumors removed every couple years or so. Additional damage to them would've been fatal. On top of that, this incident happened some years ago. my reverse osmosis filtration system leaked flooded my cabinet and kitchen floor. G.E. Representative said my discharge tube must have been blocked, My contractor said it not plugged. now I don't trust it and I'm out a house call bill and a cabinet. They must have faulty products!

I bought a standard home double oven range in November and it was supposed to be delivered in December. A day before delivery I was notified it was on back order, next scheduled delivery was delayed due to weather so I didn't end up getting my oven until mid January. Once I started using the oven it starts tripping my breaker - an electrician came in and said the oven is pulling more that 40 AMPS. Microwave caught on fire after 1 yr warranty. Called G&E and they would not help me at all and told me buy a new microwave. The microwave I have is also discontinued, super shady! Poor service.

I have water filters set up on auto-ship. They sent out two sets of filters 3 months ahead of my 6 month auto-ship schedule. They charged me $47.00 twice for filters I did not order! I have spent over 3 hours on the phone trying to get my money back! They would not assist me until I received the filters. I sent them back to GE and they received on 3/20/2020. So far I have received credit for one set of filters, but not the other. I had to call again today, they have all the items, but can’t seem to figure out how to get me b... read more
