We are back from our Classic Switzerland tour and we have many wonderful memories. Heidi, in your reservations center, was the best. She went the extra mile and kept me updated along the way. Our tour manager, Otmar, was an expert. He kept a good eye on us travellers with a great sense of humor. Our driver, Davide, was excellent. He was a careful and skilled driver. Just back from Peru.... I've always believed you get what you pay for.... this was simply a horrid tour and escort (Julio Castillo) had no issue, if he did know the answer, to just make one up. The "Lovely Restaurant" promised was neither a restaurant nor lovely, water in the toilet room sinks was no more than a trickle, there was one (1) soiled towel to dry your hands; and the room they fed us in was unfinished - ceiling of particle board and in spots falling down, floors vinyl tile, just totally HORRID. This was my first trip with Gate 1. I traveled to Portugal & Spain. The trip was amazing and I was so impressed. The customer service I received when booking with John Vicario was wonderful. Daniel Rivero was our guide on the trip & he was fabulous. Patiently helping all of us with our questions and concerns. I already have my next trip scheduled to Cuba in January. Great Job Gate 1.
I've just returned from the $799 Tuscany trip, with B&B and rental car. It was flawless!!
We just got back from Peru and it was great.....until I got food poisoning and had to spend a day in a clinic and a second day recouping. Gate 1 was amazing making sure I was well cared for having a doctor come to the hotel and continuing following up after I was released from the clinic making sure I had the proper paperwork so I could be reimbursed from the travel insurance company. First trip with Gate 1 Travel to Portugal - Excellent -will Travel Gate 1 with my next trip.Our tour guide was better than the Past Tauck Tours.
Thailand trip was amazing! We'll definitely go with Gate 1 again for our future travels.
