M husband and I just returned from a 15 day tour of Central Europe. We had a wonderful time. Michael was our tour coordinator. He was fantastic. He is so organized we never had a worry. His experience and knowledge of the region was exceptional. W learned so much. The local guides were also knowledgable. Our driver Albert was wonderful. We always felt safe on the road. Just finished the Classic Ireland tour. What a great tour. I would highly recommend it. Our guide, Joe, was very informative on the Irish culture since he grow up there. We met a bunch of new friends that we will all be going on another Gate 1 tour again in the future. Looking forward to it.
16 Day Northern Italy with Tuscany, Amalfi & Rome trip was our first guided trip. Before I always organized all my trips by myself. I am very impressed with Gate 1 organizational skills. I have not traveled yet but have a reservation to travel in July, I am concerned since the level of customer service we have received in my opinion is horrible. Every customer service rep with the exception of one, unfortunately I don't have the name, have been rude and just right out terrible. I hope this in not an indication of what our trip will be like.
We had an awsome on our trip with gate 1 in france Jenny our guide and our driver Philip were incredibly hospitable and knowledgeable. Once in a lifetime trip you are in good hands with gate 1.
If there was a negative rating, that's what they would get. Watch out for this company! We paid for a tour to Jordan and we got, thanks to their terrible planning, a partial tour, missing a whole day out of the four days we should have been in Jordan. They refuse to take any responsibility for it and I am shocked by their attitude that it's basically ok to steal money from their clients. I am disputing this with my credit card company and will report them to the Better Business Bureau as well.
I've taken 3 trips with Gate 1 and each vacation was a fabulous adventure. The tours were to Israel, Ireland and England/Scotland. The tour guides are knowledgeable and entertaining. Bus drivers add to the trips pleasure and the people on each tour have been friendly and courteous. Reasonable prices are an added bonus. I highly recommend this travel company.
Love Gate one..especially the small group tours..I have gone to Greece, Spain,Portugal,Mongolia Croatia with them..all great trips
We have been all over the world but our trip to Vietnam with Gate 1 was one of our favorite trips! Our guide, Dang was fun, knowledgable and exceptional. We were educated and entertained all at the same time
