First time travelling with Gate 1. We did the 8 day, Italy: Venice, Florence , and Rome. Susanna our Tour Manager, was absolutely amazing! we will definitely be booking another trip with Gate !
We have been on 3 tours with Gate ! and leaving shortly for our 4th and 5th one. Each one has been fantastic. Our tour to India and Nepal started out rough with flight delays (not Gate 1's fault) but we called the office to let them know and the dear bus driver and attendant waited over 2 hours for us in Delhi at 2am! I was never so happy to see that Gate 1 sign! All connections went smoothly and everyone so friendly and helpful � we had a fantastic bus tour from Venice to Rome! The tours and meals were first class ! Then we connected to a cruise ship for another week to France, Spain then ended up in Naples, Italy� I would recommend Gate 1 Travel to everyone ! My husband and I booked an 11 day trip to Italy for our Honeymoon. It was amazing to say the least! I loved that we didn't have to worry about booking flights, hotels, tours, etc. All we had to do was show up at the designated time and destination and we were off. Ana was the person making sure everything was going well and she was kind, compassionate, and very knowledgable. We thoroughly enjoyed every single aspect of our trip (food, wine, tours!). We will definitely use Gate1Travel for our next vacation.
I just returned from a 7 day trip to Peru. It was so well coordinated. The group was great & and the tours guides were so knowledgeable, patient and attentive. I would travel gate 1 again.
Gate 1 Travel is a scam. I attempted to book several Italy tours with this company and was pushed around for 3 months because they were unable to confirm hotels. I cancelled my trip the first time because the supervisor and the customer service representatives were absolutely horrible. I attempted to rebook again because I was so close to my leaving date because they were unable to accommodate my reservations, and the same problem happened again. Me and my family just got back to our home of NYC after our GATE 1 trip to Italy. I just came back from my first Gate 1 tour - 10 Day Affordable Peru (Miami Special) and it was the best time I've had on any tour. There were 29 people on our tour and our tour manager, Rogger Solas, made all of us feel special and welcome. He was so knowledgeable about all aspects of Peru, had a great sense of humor and was always available when we needed him. I'm only giving this 1 star because a negative star isn't an option and I have to give it a star to be able to comment. I am beyond PISSED. I have been trying to cancel a trip because my husband is in the hospital. We paid for the travel insurance and now they are telling us we have to fill out this 10 page form to get reimbursed. Oh and they won't send me an invoice to fill out part of the information they need, which is no longer on the itinerary or I would get the info there, and if I don't fill it all out, my request wil... read more
