My husband and I have just returned from out 14 Day China with 4 Day Yangtze River Cruise. This trip exceeded our expectations! Our experienced tour guide Jack was knowledgeable and friendly. I booked a 5 day Iceland tour with them to see the northern lights. They cancelled the tour every night except for the last night which was great weather but the bus never came and when I called the help line the associate was extremely unhelpful and condescending. I will never book with gate 1 again. And I suggest you don't either!
I recently completed a 8 Day tour to Thailand through Gate 1 from October 29, 2016 through November 6, 2016. I will begin by saying that I initially missed my flight out of New Orleans, LA due to two traffic accidents and was unable to make the original flight out of New York, NY on the next day. Just back from an 8 day trip to Bangkok and wanted to say how glad we are to have booked through Gate 1 Travel. This was our first trip through Gate 1 and from the initial booking through the entire trip, everything was perfectly executed. Our Tour Manager Koravit (Vit) Buddee was excellent! Scam artists. Booked a trip on Sunday evening that included airfare and hotel to Italy. The room needed to be confirmed and said it was "on request", so i called gate1 monday to check the status as I needed to book roundtrip airfare to NYC. The man i spoke with told me everything would be fine and there were additional hotel options in case that one was full. I went to Cambodia and Vietnam with my husband and in laws from Oct 14 - 29, 2016. We learned a great deal of history and personal stories from our tour guides. Our tour manager Tran was very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and just a smart guy. My husband had nut allergies; so he ensured this information was passed on to the waiters/waitresses. 11 perfect days in Peru... completely smooth travels from beginning to end. Our guides were professional, personable and incredibly knowledgable! "Tour Guide" is an understatement. We learned about the history, architecture, agriculture, customs, geography and much more. It was my first time abroad, but there will be more travels ahead with Gate 1.
