This is our first tour with Gate1. We had a fabulous time touring Ireland for 13 days with a wonderful and lovely tour manager Marie Lucey and our skilled and massive bus driver Hugo. We would definitely take more tours/vacations with this company again.

An amazing experience through and through I came back a whole new person. My friend and I just returned from our trip to Peru and it was a magical experience. Thanks to our tour manager Ronald and to all the other tour guides Alberto, Eliseo, the lady from Lima and our very efficient driver Jorge. Went to Italy last Sept/Oct with Gate 1 Travel. Great trip. Top hotels, wonderful itinerary and our tour guide Vanni made the trip top notch. Would recommend this company to anyone and we look forward to using them again.
Just returned from 13 day Costa Rica. The trip exceed expectations, and I learned so much about the place, people, and nature. Most important, our guide, Ricardo, added so much value to the trip. Of course, he handled logistics smoothly and without a hitch, and went beyond the call of duty when a couple of the group had health problems. I won't deal with companies that sell trips to an occupying, racist, fascist, murdering state.
I am currently stranded in Peru with this company. Despite having advance notice of an impending strike, they took us right into the middle of the strike/protests and cancelled the majority of the sites. Our time here has consisted mostly of sitting in a tour bus and walking around the neighborhoods of our hotels. They've rescheduled our trip to Macchu Picchu now multiple times (including today when we spent the entire day in a bus and were turned around) and have cancelled an entire leg of the trip to Puno/Lake Titicaca (a ... read more
We are on a trip with Gate1; the schedule has been messed about considerably; but the final straw came this evening when they cancelled half our tour with absolutely no consultation whatsoever! They have not sent anyone who can make decisions to see us or discuss any decisions. Awful customer service!!
