I have been on 7 tours and bookings with Gate1 and every thing from booking to follow up we're just wonderful. Just watch how your name is spelled on your passport and the issued ticket. This was my only issue and we agreed to spit the difference. My experience started with Cuba and just ended with Ireland. Going to Milan in February for the second year. All hotels are of good quality and tour guides are perfect. Thanks Gate1 for letting me experience Europe on a budget
Just completed the 11 day Affordable Croatia tour led by Jelena. She did a good job, 3 of 4 hotels outstanding, food provided was above average. When weather created a change upon itinerary, they gave us a free dinner party with free flowing wine. A generous gesture. My return flight was at a time unlike anyone else’s and Gate 1 went above expectations and hired me a private car for the 3 hour ride to the airport. I’ve always travelled with Grand Circle/overseas adventure travel. Not again. gate 1 has earned my loyalty
We were able to enjoy a honeymoon in Italy thanks to a Gate 1 Groupon that I found. I was a bit apprehensive to purchase a vacation on Groupon but went for it anyway...so glad we did! The agent on the phone was very helpful and friendly. All of the tour guides in Italy were fantastic, especially Ricardo in Florence. He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does and I felt honored to get to learn from him. We were happy with all of the hotels as well. Buyer Beware ! Read the fine print ! Gate 1 recently cancelled an upcoming tour I booked with them in March for “ lack of participation “ approximately 15 days after I booked it . As per their contract, I am now stuck with the change fees for my airline tickets . This amounted to $ 1000!
Returned today after a wonderful 10 day trip with tour manager Hector Huacac. No detail was overlooked during our travels throughout Peru. Looking forward to my next adventure with Gate 1.
I had to stop by and just say what an amazing experience we had in Greece! Pick ups and drop offs were on time. Drivers friendly and I can not say enough good things about our amazing guide @KassandraPorioti! She was so knowledgeable, friendly, enteric, and engaging. She really was the cherry on top for our Tour of Greece! I would highly recommend Gate 1 Travel and will definitely use you again!

Everything was wonderful on our Enchanted Italy tour from start to finish. Emanuella Russo was our tour manager the entire time - she is FABULOUS! Just returned from Ecuador 8 day trip. Amazing accommodations ,great food and terrific guided tour of the country.
