We just finished our 10 day tour of northern Italy and it was fantastic. Every place we traveled to was more beautiful then the last. It was very well organized and we were able to see a lot in that time frame. Myriam, our tour guide was the best ever. Gate 1 is so fortunate to have her. When my mother became ill, Myriam spent the night at the hospital with us and made numerous arrangements for us that we would never have considered. We just came back from our 12 day classic south africa trip for our honeymoon and it was amazing! This was my second time traveling with Gate 1 and this was yet another fantastic experience. Our tour guide Desire was so great and really made our trip special. We will definitely be traveling with Gate 1 again!
We booked a trip to Spain via Gate 1 about 8 months in advance. After we booked I did a little research and found that we could have done all the booking ourselves for around the same cost =/ but we were already booked so lesson learned and we were eagerly awaiting our trip. About 3 months before travel a health complication came up with my SO...he had to have HEART SURGERY. Terrible experience with these people. They don't seem concerned.
My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon to Italy, we booked an independent tour through Gate 1. Everything went smoothly, all of our hotels were great, our flight itineraries were perfect with no hiccups. I would book with them again, especially when organizing a multi city trip, it made things so much easier!
Gate 1 Travel is a gorgeous company. It provides its customers with the best service one could imagine. My wife and I just came back from our third trip with Gate 1 Travel, and we are looking forward to join more trips with them. Booked travel with this company in January, $2400 for a trip to Madrid in November 2017, In April we found out that we were pregnant. I called to cancel and inquired about a credit under the circumstances, they indicated that the trip was non refundable and no credit could be issued regardless of the reason. I spoke with a manager, after reasoning with him for a while, he finally agreed to issue a partial refund. I even offered to mail in a doctor's note or any necessary documents to prove my case. I've taken several Gate 1 tours and they have both been fantastic. I look forward to taking more in the future. I've traveled 40+ countries and only recently started taking organized tours and as an experienced traveler I have no problems recommending this company.
