I just came back from Dubai 7 day independent tour and it was AMAZING. It gave me the opportunity to take advantage of all the tours plus free time to explore on my own. The hotel was wonderful and the staff went above and beyond to cater to us. This guide during our tour was also great and very knowledgeable of the culture. As a women traveling solo I would not use any other company but gate 1 . They are simply the best in every way.
So far, we've completed 4 trips with Gate 1: Tuscany independent trip; Irish Castles fly-and-drive; a long weekend in Iceland with teenage granddaughter; a guided tour of Spain with teenage grandson. Loved them all. Gate 1 delivered everything they promised. Super value and pricing.
Sorely lacking in customer service. Condescending agents. Won't be using them again.
We've taken 2 tours so far to Europe and absolutely loved it. The most recent was a 10 day tour of the UK in which we brought our children (12 and 16) for the first time. It was wonderful! Our tour guide Michael was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He as well as all of our local guides had great insights to all of the places we visited and fun antidotes. We were getting on the plane at Heathrow and my 12 yr old looked at me and asked "when do we get to do this again?" We are already planning our next 2 trips!!
I booked a Danube River cruise and am extremely disappointed at Gate 1's booking experience. Payment by check was mailed to Gate 1 a week ago from California, and should have been received by now. I have now received three consecutive daily phone calls (and e-mails) stating that payment is due! I have never done business with Gate 1 previously and frankly have my doubts about ever doing so again. This is NOT how I expect to be treated as a customer.
I recently returned from a 9 day trip with Gate 1travel. Visited Amsterdam, Belgium 🇧🇪 my tour director Gary was great. Would recommend the 9 Day tulips festival to every one. Had a great time, can't wait for my next trip with Gate 1 Travel.
Gate 1 Travel has been very attentive to my needs when traveling. Never a issue with them.
Just finished 11 Day Romantic Italy. It was amazing. Better than we could have imagined from start to finish. Every detail was taken care of. Our tour director Riccardo was awesome. It was worth every penny. It will be a vacation we will always remember. Can't wait to start planning on next adventure with Gate 1.
Bought 4 of the trips they offered on Groupon for travel, the trip is still almost 6 months out and they have already managed to put a huge kink in the trip. Get everything in writing and don't rely on them telling you they will make it right... they won't! I purchased travel for 4 ppl, they absolutely don't care how much money you spend or how much business they could loose in the future, they do the bait and hook advertising for cheap vacations... and thats exactly what you get, horrible flight times and vague answers.
