DO NOT BUY A HOME FROM HERE!!!! Buyer Beware!!!! They are thieves and liars. I went into Clayton Homes of Lynchburg and the salesperson told me that all the homes on the lots were already sold or presold. I knew that didn't sound right, she had to be lying just so she could make more money by getting me one from the factory. The salesperson also told me I could get a lender with 3 to 4 % financing and possibly with no money down. The best I could get was through their Vanderbilt motgage lender for 11% with 20% down. The previous managemant and sales staff were unscrupulous in their practices and the new management staff does not appear much better. The new manager "isn't in" according to the staff that answer the phone and he doesn't return messages. When you catch him in, he is unwilling to stand behind their products. We have had the same problem with a roof leak since the warranty time period and it has yet to be fixed. He will not deal with it because we are now outside the warranty. We purchased a single wide from Clayton the advertised price was 28990 we added 2 porches 1 with a ramp and heat pump they hooked power and water up then the cost went to over 48000 dollars most expensive heat pump underpinning and porches I ever bought ask for itemized bill on what they spent my money on they said they don't do that

We bought our home from Clayton, had a few issues that were not handled completely. Then the issues really started, the beam that runs the entire length of the home makes a noise, had an inspector come out, never went under house and says nothing is wrong. STILL SQUEAKS! All my kitchen appliances were replaced prior to the one year warranty - dishwasher, refrigerator and stove. all of them. Our experience has been a nightmare from beginning to end! We had land already and when we bought our modular we needed some land cleared. They hired someone to do the clearing. Debris was to be set up for burning. They made 2 gigantic piles to burn. When getting burn permit we found out we could not burn within 500 feet of a residence. We had homes on both sides. I'm very disappointed, this Friday will be 3 weeks since my home was brought out and yet have I been able to move in. They are dragging their feet, makes no sense at all.

The normal time frame for completing a project once a home has been delivered is 6-8 weeks. Sometimes the set up process can take longer than 8 weeks depending on weather and utility delays. Clayton Homes in Laurinburg will continue doing all that they can to get your home completed.
Home is very nice, however getting service from dealer in Supply, NC was horrible. After a year, 2 items on punch list from day one was never fixed, I finally did the work myself. All the minor repairs could have been completed in 2 days if they would have come and worked. They would set up time to do work and then not show up or maybe come and some of the things I sent in to be fixed were not on work order, or parts that had been ordered were not sent with worker. Clayton homes has abandoned their obligations and committed a breach of contract to which they created. I would not now nor ever recommend anyone to purchase from Claytons homes. Our land was ruined by their contractor and he also destroyed a deck worth over 5,000 dollars and they left damage to my neighbors property in excess of 3,000 dollars. Dont waste your MONEY!!! Nightmare experience.Besides the issues that have not been fixed like seams in the floor, front door doesnt fit right, cheapest hardware etc etc.. IT HAS MADE ME LITERALLY SICK FROM THE FORMALDEHYDE used in the materials it was made with.
