We ordered our home in June 2017 from Clayton Homes of Cookeville TN, signed the paperwork on 7-14-17 and it was delivered to our property in August 2017. We moved in on 8-31-17. It went downhill from there. We had several small issues that needed to be repaired/replaced including bubbles in the ceiling, exterior doors not sealing properly when closed, dishwasher not secured properly, interior doors not closing properly and some minor other stuff, but all was fixed. Bought my home from Clayton Homes in Searcy, AR. It started out pretty good. I knew it was the house for me the moment I opened the door. I went back a few days later to look at it and doing some measuring so I could get to work on figuring out furniture and other items. We bought our home from Clayton Homes in Owensboro , Ky. Was told in April to start packing because we would be in new home by end of May. Well that did not happen we didn't get to move in until August 3, 2018. Our sales lady Dawn Harmon and the store Manager Jody Beavin did nothing but lie thru the whole process by telling us what we wanted to hear. I purchased a home back in March of 2018 from the Oakwood homes store on Patton Ave in Asheville, NC. I was just able to move into my home on Saturday 8/18/18. They failed to get proper permits, the house failed a zoning survery. They then were not timely about filling the proper paperwork to get a hearing with the county for a variance. Since the start of the process, Clayton homes has fell short of communications with anything pertaining to the sale of the home as well as the set up. Contractors showing up whenever they feel like it. Never a call from a contractor stating he's on his way to do anything. Contractors contradicting each other as to where to place the a/c disconnect as well as where to put the a/c. Has been a hassle from the start. No coordination in construction and delivery poor communications. Raised price several times after signed agreement. One 10,000.00 increase was added in at closing. Went and discussed it and did another sales agreement which they seem to have lost and never made it to closing company. 5 months after closing they sent another sales agreement with the price almost 7,000.00 less than i paid at closing and stated it was needed for their records and the deal was done.
