They took us right in, they took our insurance (Humana PPO), they took care of my wife's foot. And they were nice. 2 Thumbs Up!
Everyone was awesome during our visit on 4/09/16. My daughter was fussy with ear infection and vomiting. Stephanie,Stacey, and Erica were great with us! This will be our first choice any time we are in Austin!
This was a great experience! The ED was beautiful & clean. I was greeted immediately by friendly & caring staff. I was seen by a nurse & physician quickly. Dr. VanRoekel was great! He was friendly, caring, and took the time to hear my concerns & feelings. Although there was not a clear diagnoses, he came up with a great plan for me to move forward. I left there feeling that I made the right decision going to this ED. The next day, he called to check on me & that was a pleasant surprise! I definitely recommend this ED!
I visited First Choice Emergency Room early on a Tuesday morning and the care I received there was outstanding. Being in the medical field myself I understand how busy the ER staff can get, but their care throughout my entire time there was extremely efficient. They also took the time to get to know a little bit about me and made me feel very comfortable and welcome. I felt that their care and medical advice was spot on - I would recommend them to anybody who asked!
I received prompt care when I arrived. It is a clean and organized environment. I was put into a exam room and quickly seen by a nurse. My only complaint with this place is the nurse wasn't as friendly as the rest of staff. Dr VanRoekel was very personable and did a quick exam and he acted very professional. I am used to military medical services (where the patient is assumed to be faking or exaggerating), and this doctor was the polar opposite. I recently moved to Austin and found myself in an urgent situation and Google maps located FCER as my closest option and I am so thankful they were. Yesterday my mom and I went hiking when she fell and hurt her knee. Since she was having a lot of trouble and pain walking we decided to have it checked out. We have nothing but good things to say about First Choice Emergency Room. From the easy online appointment system to the professional and caring staff. We were in and out in about 30 minutes or so. Nice to know they are there when needed.
