George called to say that he was running late but then showed up 15 minutes sooner than that. It worked well as I had several other contractors coming the same morning. He explained what the issues were, got them fixed and recommended future maintenance items. The only issue is really quite small. The blower belt needed to be replaced.. George didn't have the belt and needed to go and get the belt. The extra charge was 28% on top of the original estimate. I was happy with the work and will definitely use them again.
The technician they sent seemed to be in a fog. He was coughing the entire time he was here and had a hard time even talking. He had difficulty understanding what I wanted done or in explaining what he was doing. He spent three hours at my home and only succeeded in getting annual service done on one AC unit. The unit that I needed repairs done on was not even looked at.
Business response:
He was confused as to which of his two hvac systems had the problem. He thought the problem was in one thermostat, but I showed him that this thermostat was controlling his second hvac system which he was having no problems with. While I was checking his 1st system for Freon charge, I cleaned & serviced his 1st system and took a phone call in his garage[where both furnaces were], and in hindsight, he didn't like me taking a phone call while at his house, so this probably set him off. Finally, when I got set up to add R2... read more
After the furnace was installed, the City of Troutdale inspector came out to inspect the job. He said it was a great furnace, the work was excellent, and it was a fair price. George and Jordan came out immediately after the initial call to diagnose the problem. There were both very polite and conscientious. One concern was that George rescheduled several times to complete the job, We did have an operational furnace, but the time changes were inconvenient. Otherwise, the installation went smoothly.
this is the second time i used them. so far i've been very lucky. made a call and they came within a few hours---dave is a good guy and fixed the heater in no time. he's very knowledgeable and honest. i'm sure i'll be using them again if some thing goes wrong again. i would recomend them to any one who needs help.
George is fantastic - he's quick, reliable and gets it done with a smile. He literally went the extra mile and drove through the snow to our home, walked the last half mile up the hill because it was too steep for SUVs to get up. He walked up over the hill with his tools and all. Quickly found the problem and got our home heated when it was 20 degrees outside. No other contractor would even return our call for help when our house was freezing. Highly recommend this company!
He did a good job.
1st time they came out it was a loose wire. 2nd time they came (next day) it was the thermostat and the furnace weren't talking to each other. The next day they came back with a wireless stat and tried to install it, but the battery was dead and told me that I had to go buy one (they didn't have any extras). The next day (Friday) they came back to "finish" the install and found out the stat was defective and couldn't exchange it til Monday! The project took way too long and they didn't have the tools needed to do the job. To... read more

The first visit, after moving the wires, the problem didn't repeat, even when moving the wires, again. Many times I have to tell a client that we will have to wait until the problem gets worse in order to diagnose it. You won't want to pay me per hour to wait at your place until the problem resurfaces. In this clients case, it was the next day. The problems with the new thermostat and its battery, both new out of the box, were unfortunate; especially since they happened on Friday at 5PM, so Homeowner had to wait ti... read more
Ask for hourly rate before hire! $220.00 per hour was what George charged us plus his service call charge of $89.00. He informed me of the service charge call up front. I coordinated time of service call with our tenant. George showed up on time, spent 30 minutes doing a very minor repair (repositioning the furnace fan blades so they did not grate on the metal cover plate.). He did not call me back after his visit as I requested. Received his bill by email next day. He was not open to adjusting his hourly rate when called an... read more
Business response:
If you want to hire a handyman and pay handyman rates, you need to hire a handyman from the start. Being licensed, bonded and insured, my overhead is way above that of a handyman service. Also, this client is a landlord where usually we have an agreement that if the total charge is less than $250, I simply do the repair, and charge it out to the landlord latter without the necessity of an extra 'authorization phone call'; this works out good, because sometimes I or the landlord gets 'tied up' and an extra... read more
Came later than I wanted. Took his time, but diagnosed the problem and got the job done. Did not feel like I was hustled or taken advantage of.
