EyeMed is a joke. They cover so little even when you visit one of their in-network doctors. We did go to one of their in-network eye centers and the people that worked their were incompetent and extremely difficult to deal with. When I called EyeMed for assistance, their representative told me the eye center had overcharged me. The rep was transferring to a specialist and I got discounted. When I called back and final go to another human, she said everything was correct. Bottom line, the total charge was $329 and the "eye in... read more

Terrible, untruthful, and rude liars. I Have never had issues I. Twenty years with eye insurance until I moved to eye med through my husbands plan. They reported our families date for services were all months after our annual Exam. We all use daily contacts. They blame everyone else and do not care to make right decisions hat they have done wrong. Also no eye doctors want to use them because of how bad they are. Canceled effective immediately.

I got my glasses cheaper by paying full price at [well-known wholesaler, out of network] than I was quoted WITH INSURANCE at LensCrafters. I wondered how they could stay in business at $5/mo. Now I know. You are not getting a pair of designer-frame glasses for the prices they advertise in their brochure.LensCrafters grossly inflates the cost of a few **features you can't opt out of, and then shows you a fake insurance benefit, only to have the net price still come out to full retail price. EyeMed is already doing LC a favor ... read more

i dont understand how EyeMed stays in business with all of these complaints I'm seeing. I will be instructing my company to drop them as an option for our employees for 2024 benefits. My issue is that I have an eye disease called ***********. This requires medically necessary contact lenses annually, so you would think they would look at the history and quickly validate and approve. NOPE, not the case. I have to go back and forth between my provider and eyemed on getting the claim approved. It can't be that difficult people!... read more

Go to eyemed online. They do not have a phone number to call. You cannot speak with anyone. They do not list their number on their website a AT ALL what kind of a business doesn't provide that? You can message them. Cannot call. That is absolutely not okay.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would! The worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I actually had a representative scream at me over the phone, only to realize she was mistaken and apologize. They transferred me about 12 times with no resolution. I have medically necessary contacts that have always been covered, they randomly changed it this year and when I reached out for clarification, I received misinformation and ended up being told I owed $635 to my eye doctor for my contacts. They wouldnt acknowledge their mistake... read more

Eyemed is tied in with LensCrafters, who wants to charge you an arm and a leg for glasses. If I would have gone to LensCrafters they would have refunded me for $135 for my frames. But since I went to ******* that charged me half the price for frame and lenses, they were only willing to refund me $58. So, pretty much what I got refunded for my frame and lenses was what I paid for the year with my insurance. Definitely not worth it!

There coverage is not very clear and don't make the mistake of assuming your adjustments reset based on a new calendar year. My doctor's office told me eyemed will reset adjustments for the new calendar year but they didn't cover the cost of my contact lenses. Very frustrating to find this out months later after the fact. If you have a choice and need contacts eyemed is not your best bet.

Eye med is charging me a.payment form retinal test. Which I paid to the assistant. When I talked to her she said yes I am paid in full for the retinal test. However, eye doctor is still trying to charge me for something that i already I paid at the place where I had my vision tested. If my vision doctor knows it all been paid ,why didnt my eye eye doctor know?
