Horrible customer service. Frustrating and confusing automated phone service. It was almost impossible to reach a live agent, and when I did, they lacked knowledge and adequate information. Huge time waste.
I require medically necessary lenses, and without them I'm blind. I've had the same prescription & lenses for 5 years in a row. This year, EyeMed denied my insurance claim saying I'd exceeded my benefits, yet couldn't say when or how. The only claim I make is the once a year lenses claim same time every 12 months. And they didn't provide any communication when denying the claim, I had to phone the optician to find out from them that EyeMed was not approving the claim, then i had to phone EyeMed and spend 30 minutes on the ph... read more
Good luck trying to even make an account; you'll be permanently stuck on a loading screen. If you try to contact customer support by email, I wish you further good luck; because once you fill out the support request form and click "submit" nothing will happen. It is obvious they've outsourced their website design/development to incompetent overseas "companies" to fatten their (likely already overinflated) margins. Worst customer service I have experienced. I have been with *** for decades and first time with this crappy provider. The idiot lady (Brittany) that I have been in cellphone chat is the worst unprofessional customer service personnel you can find. So EyeMed Vision Care, here's to you. This review is for Leeane who gave me insanely efficient and super clutch customer service when I called in on 08/31 at 5:56pm pacific time to find out my member ID and group # ... I ended the call too early and did not get a survey so this is the best I can do.
I believe they are actually trying to make it as hard as possible to get any information about customer's claims/benefits. This is their business model.
For multiple years Eyemed has been the most difficult insurance company from which I have ever attempted to receive a claim. This year I am on my third attempt in 4 months to receive a reimbursement for contact lenses. They obviously are very resistant to paying out claims, unlike their complete satisfaction with taking premium payments. Don't let your employer use this company!
Horrible website. Horrible customer service. I'd rather just pay out of pocket instead of dealing with this completely broken company.
Horrible customer service and online systems. Phone calls get put into a confusing and painful automated phone system, that tends to run you in circles and ask you questions and then drops your call. When you finally do get ahold of a person they transfer you somewhere else which ends up putting you right back into the same broken automated phone system.
