Customer service doesn't even respond to emails regarding my account and resetting my password. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I need new glasses!! I have been paying this insurance for years and have never been able to log into an account.

I went to an in network provider for Eyemed for an eye exam, which should have been $0 copay. Instead I was billed by the provider $170 out of pocket. When i submitted the claim to Eyemed, they only paid $40, initially claiming the provider was out of network. When I spoke to them they agreed the provider was in network, but then claimed it was a "medical" eye exam which they do not cover. What a bunch of **. So basically they refused to cover an eye exam from one of their own network providers. Very disappointed in Eyemed.

I went to an EyeMed preferred provider to get a routine exam. During the exam, they discovered that I am in the beginning stages of cataracts. BECAUSE they discovered a "medical condition," EyeMed will not cover the cost of the ROUTINE exam. What is the purpose of an exam if not to check the health of your eyes? TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. I get zero benefit for my monthly premium. Garbage excuse. An EXAM is an EXAM. The findings are irrelevant.

Spent 2 hours attempting to attain a simple benefit summary as online sources were not helpful. Needed to submit an out of network claim and the online form does not properly download or give email address for where to send it. Spent another 30-40 minutes on phone to gain that information.Submitted an ***claim two months ago and have yet to receive response. If you call their customer service line listed on back of card it disconnects. I resubmitted the claim another month ago and still no response. The customer service numb... read more

They charged me for the next year without contacting me first. When contacted they said that the recurring charge was part of the agreement when I first joined. Sounds like a racket to me. Who else can charge you without notice and until you catch them? And for services not even performed. They provided me with a pro-rated refund! What a scheme.

Poor service and can only get to someone via Chat. Does not have my records even though *** has passed on my records to them weeks ago. Asked me to call *** again to problem solve it myself, no accountability.

By far the worst, most unreachable, unhelpful customer service group on the planet. Avoid this **company like the plague.

FYI: an Italian company named LUXOTTICA owns almost everything to do with eyeglasses, manufacturing lenses, frames and yes they own EYEMED too. It is a monopoly that the govt will not go after for some reason. Luxottica has forced brands like Oakley and Rayban to do business their way or no way. There is a 60 minutes story on them out there somewhere too. There are some places that are not owned by Luxottica, *******and ********* ****come to mind. Oh! That 40% frames sale? only good for those without insurance.
