They charged me for the next year without contacting me first. When contacted they said that the recurring charge was part of the agreement when I first joined. Sounds like a racket to me. Who else can charge you without notice and until you catch them? And for services not even performed. They provided me with a pro-rated refund! What a scheme.

Poor service and can only get to someone via Chat. Does not have my records even though *** has passed on my records to them weeks ago. Asked me to call *** again to problem solve it myself, no accountability.

By far the worst, most unreachable, unhelpful customer service group on the planet. Avoid this **company like the plague.

FYI: an Italian company named LUXOTTICA owns almost everything to do with eyeglasses, manufacturing lenses, frames and yes they own EYEMED too. It is a monopoly that the govt will not go after for some reason. Luxottica has forced brands like Oakley and Rayban to do business their way or no way. There is a 60 minutes story on them out there somewhere too. There are some places that are not owned by Luxottica, *******and ********* ****come to mind. Oh! That 40% frames sale? only good for those without insurance.

*****. Plan says exams covered up to $45. However, won't cover refraction charges which are part of exam. Also, covers nothing out of network. Utferly useless "insurance". Avoid.

Absolute worst customer service. They only communicate with the complaint department via e-mail. State they will get back to you within 30 days - they do not. They state they take my complaint seriously, and no one follows up so obviously they do not. I have e-mailed them several times since September and have not heard from them. My original complaint - a representative of theirs pointed me toward the specific list of providers under my coverage that would take their discount plan. I went to that doctor and had to pay for t... read more

WORST eye plan ever!! Their benefits are pennies.... it's cheaper not to have this coverage!! Customer sevice reps don't know their program or system to give you correct info when you call, as their website is worthless. I reused two frames I had from previous glasses that were in excellent condition - and my frames for both cost $168. Their reimbursement was $25!! Shame on EyeMed!!
