I have been owed about $120 since December 2021 for reimbursement of some of the money I spent on glasses. I have repeatedly had to call their customer service to get them to reissue the check because Ive never received it. This has been at least four or five times. I dont think they ever send me a check and plan on keeping the money.
Despite never making any claims/orders, this company said I couldn't use my benefits until 2023. Trying to get a solid answer from this company on what is going on with my benefits (or lack thereof) was the most frustrating and ridiculous experience I have had with any insurance company, ever. Absolutely horrified at the quality of customer service - basically of how there is none. I've called them hundreds of times attempting to actually understand HOW to help my provider submit a medically necessary contacts form since I have very high ametropia and therefore fall under that category, but every rep I've talked to is so guarded and unhelpful - if not downright rude - about all of it. Extremely misleading in their business practices. I'm amazed that any reputable insurance company would contract with EyeMed vision if they truly valued their customers satisfaction.
My daughter had an appointment, she didn't realize it was inside lens crafters so she called me assign where it iwas. Her apptbwas at 1pm. By the time she called me and I explained where it was in the Mall inside Lens Crafters she it was 10 min after her appointment, ther refused her MAYBE PUT A SIGN UP STATING THE DR IS INSIDE LENS CRAFTERS. I submitted claim TWICE with a receipt that obviously had the date on it. It was returned to me TWICE ! stating that I needed to submit the Date of service on claim form/receipt. So I called. It took 14 minutes to get to speak with someone. Then was put on hold for 22 minutes, only to be sent to an automated review of my phone call. Upon seeing all of the reviews and comments, this business needs to be investigated by law enforcement. We are paying for a product and not receiving it. This is fraud.
