I will admit upon our arrival we had a few hiccups with our lock on the door and a leak in the bathroom. They promptly rectified the situation and moved us to another room where no further issues ensued. I don’t like the fact that the only fridge is full to capacity with overpriced drinks so there is no room for my stuff that I wanted to buy. This was our first visit to the Empire but won’t be our last! There wasn’t one negative about our stay at all! We checked in very late (11p). The valet quickly loaded our luggage and took our truck to the parking garage. The bell service delivered our bags promptly & house keeping came immediately to make the quest best for our children. The room was very spacious, extremely clean & comfortable. It is suprising how bad this hotel turned out to be . First of all , despite the name and location , it has nothing to do with a hotel rated over 3 stars or even 2 to be honest . Almost no sound proofing means you have a constant noise in the room making it impossible to sleep , criminally overpriced room rates , cockroaches in the rooms , shower units partly broken , mold around the walls and in corners where its obvious thay think its not worth cleaning , and basic services lacking or charged out of proportion . My room is a closet. One tiny bed for two people. Pillows like cardboard. I reserved a queen over a month ago, and when we got here, they downgraded us because they were overbooked! I did not receive any notice from them in advance. The only compensation they offered, was two lousy comped drinks at the bar. Terrible. I do not recommend this place.

My third time, Hubbys first. We loved it. I had requested a room with a view because it was his first time to the city. They did an awesome job with our room.

I don’t know where to start- this hotel is surprisingly bad for what it is. The lobby is very beautiful and gives the appearance of a swanky, luxury hotel. Once checking into your room you’ll find out this is not the case. The room was ridiculously hot when arrived. The heaters in the rooms have no controls so the only way to turn it off is by unplugging it. It only has one setting and that’s blowing heat at full blast.
