Horrible experience at this hotel recently and would never return. Guaranteed check in at 3pm turned into 5:30 pm check in to a different room with smaller beds. Once we arrived in our room we found the air conditioner to not be working. We were told it was an easy fix, left for dinner and came back to a stiflingly hot room. Mind you it’s late, we have two small children and I am pregnant. We were switched to another smaller room then. At check out they wanted to charge us for the original larger room!! Do NOT be fooled by the location. This is one of the worst run hotels in the entire city. Here is what you can expect. The hotel is rundown to the point where it's laughable. The air conditioning units are from the last century, very loud and have a very loud clanking noise. So if you like sleeping you won't get much of it done at the Empire.
