My husband was admitted Friday afternoon with unstable angina and dementia. I could not be with him because of Covid-19. The ER was great, multiple phone calls to keep me updated, but then things fell apart after he was admitted. The care team was to call me Saturday. That did not happen. I tried to call the hospital main number and was on hold for 75 minutes. I finally resorted to driving to the hospital, where a most unfriendly info desk person finally phoned his nurse. The staff are unqualified. the medical billing department is fraudulent. They frequently code wrong.. Ask for itemized bills and crosscheck with your insurance. Still dealing with issues from 2011.

the doctors may be great, but the hospital staff is horrible. conflicting information, lots of "not my job", patients are a number, there is no compassion.
