I came to Emory for my second kidney transplant, after almost 20 years with my first one. I received my first one from the Medical University of South Carolina, the comparison between Emory and MUSC is a world of difference. MUSC is a runed down facility with too many patients and not enough doctors. Since MUSC is the only transplant facility for South Carolina it shows in their care for their patients. We feel like we are in the best hands here. They have the best doctors, from 20 years ago when my husband was here two different times for surgery and now he will be having his 3rd surgery. I would not want to be any place else! And We are so glad we were referred to Dr. Duwayri!!
This hospital has been the most incredible place for cancer & palliative treatment I have ever seen. Once you enter their doors, the fight to save your life is their only commitment! There will never be enough I can say in gratitude to the entire nursing, social services, oncology, palliative and scheduling staff. You are all 1 in a million.
Currently, no. The longer I’m a patient there the less I feel confident that my best interest is being considered when it comes to surgery. I was impressed in the beginning but scheduling has let me down and lack of communication makes me feel I’ve made the wrong choice.

Emory's advertisement as emploing 'only the best doctors' has created doctors who believe the hype and have become insufferably arrogant and rude. Why listen to a patient when The Best Doctor has all the answers?
Your hospital deemed my wife's injury NON life threatening, a fractured knee cap, the knee cap is actually in TWO pieces, you lied to us and said an Ortho Dr. would see my wife on Friday,which they knew NOTHING about, as of now she doesn't know WHEN she'll be able to have her knee fixed, or by who...so well done Emory,this is what health care in America has come to today, if you're not going to die, beat it...rub some dirt on it,,,Your hospital sucks...
