our furnace has been broken for 2 weeks. we were told we needed parts, fine. so we wait for the larts to come in. fine. and when they do come in, we make an appointment for 8am Saturday morning, agreeing to pay the extra money. when they don't come by 11am, we call and ask. we're told that they've bumped us down the list for other calls because those people are without heat. as if our broken furnace somehow means we are not without heat. and finally at 2pm, after our scheduled appointment, and lack of heat for 2 weeks, was d... read more

No longer an ethical company. I have used them over the years for maintenance on both my furnace and AC. My AC went out on one of the first heat waves. All functioning but no cool air. The technician showed up by 9 the next morning. Told me the compressor wire was burnt off the capacitor. Said he could try to fix but would happen again, probably in 3 weeks or less, work is not guaranteed. Get a new AC ASAP, bad brand, etc. I had it repaired but something sounded wrong. First off Derek was great, however, he said needed an installation crew to come back and drain freon and reset to factory specs. the unit has way too much refrigerant in it. So STEVE came the following day. said Derek was wrong and that *** ** had a 'brown out' and that's why our air conditioner was malfunctioning. That was the most ridiculous excuse from a guy that just didn't want to get down on his knees and fix the problem. So all he did was hose the unit down and said it was good to go. Jeff *. was very professional and pleasant to deal with. He was also very responsive to our concern about a part replacement that was needed. We have been customers of Elm Heating and Cooling for the last 25+ years and will continue to do so.
