I was first very impressed with how many friends have already seen Dr. Alvarez and also highly recommend him. I soon learned he is not only highly trained and educated, but also lectures and teaches dentistry in America and abroad. He is also certified in acupuncture(which doesn't hurt at all) to help relieve stress and pain during certain treatments, and also botox. I have never had such a deep cleaning in my life! Dr. Alvarez is absolutely amazing! He's smart, attentive, caring, current on new techniques, gives useful advice and you end up with a great smile. Great staff. Great environment.
I recently went to Dr.Alvarez with a badly broken molar. He was able to see me on very short notice which was great since I recently moved out of state and was only back in NY for a very short period of time. The office staff was wonderful and professional and the office itself was lovely. Dr.Alvarez was great during my entire tooth repair and explained everything he was doing and made sure I felt no pain at all. I have been going to Dr.Alvarez for a couple years now. I wish i could say it was longer, because he is the absolute best. Nobody likes going to the dentist. The great thing about Dr. Alvarez is you will no longer fear it. Great friendly demeanor, absolute professionalism and care from him and his staff, and most importantly a pain free experience. Dr Alvarez and his staff continue to impress with their quality of care, attention to detail, and friendly environment. Dr. Alvarez is the best dentist I've been to — EVER, short of an excellent dentist in Michigan (too far to travel). Dr. Alvarez cares about his patients and their health. He truly cares! He's dedicated, incredibly knowledgable, does excellent work, is pain free, ethical, and has a great "bedside manner." I highly recommend Dr. Alvarez. Dr. Alvarez worked on my crown for an implant tooth using the state of the art technology, CEREC. The process was amaging and very fast. The result was just beautiful! I love the crown Dr. Alvarez made for me with CEREC. Dr. Alvarez also does Waterlase dental laser cleaning for me on regular base and did several laser dental cavity treatment. Dr. Alvarez was recommended by a co-worker. I was so happy with his work. This partial denture looks like it is my own teeth. It seems to me that he cares and takes pride in doing a good job. He expects no less from himself. Also if a patient can't afford certain prices , he works with them. He did with me.
I went to Dr. Alvarez to get a crown on a darkened front tooth, and the results were quite poor. In my opinion, the CEREC machine cannot be used for aesthetic dental work. Not on a front tooth. Dr. Alvarez was unable to accurately shape the crown, though he tried many times, and took no responsibility for the failure of it. Twice I left his office with noticeble gaps between my teeth.
