I've been to many other dentists, and Dr Alvarez is by far the best that I've experienced. He's just simply at a much higher level, in terms of knowledge, experience, professionalism, and service. His X-Ray procedures are much more comprehensive and thorough than other dentists. I have huge fear of dentists and found Dr. Alvarez through this website because others who share my fear had found him to be accessible and relaxing. They were not wrong. He communicates well and tries to make the procedures as pleasant as possible. His staff is courteous and you never have to wait. I highly recommend him.
I highly recommed Dr. Alvarez. I am midway through my treatment and what a pleasure it has been so far. It is unusual for one to describe a dental visit as pleasurable but when you take into consideration the friendly staff who is eager to please and Dr. Alvarez's calm, easy manner then it is possible to see this aspect. Dr. Alvarez is a great dentist. He is extremely nice, patient and will make the most nervous person feel relaxed. He thorougly explains every step of all procedures he performs. I had a full dental exam, a cleaning, a gum treatment, and two fillings done. I can't imagine that an exam could be more thorough; he checks for any possible problems not only with your teeth, but gums, jaw, etc.. I highly reccomend Dr Alvarez!! He has ANGEL hands...I have had 3 root canals (2 together) and haven't felt any pain. I haven't even needed to fill out the prescription he gave me! Dr Alverez and his staff are both friendly and efficient. I actually don't dread going to visit the denist. Not only is he a GREAT dentist, he is also very affordable.
Dr. Alvarez is very knowledgable, trustworthy and kind and gentle. I really recommend him highly. His staff is friendly and competent. The office is neat and clean and pretty. I needed crowns for my front teeth. I had gone to a few dentists and made a comparison of their work and asking price. With that done I then determined how personable they were with their patients, after all, your dentist will have his hands in your mouth. I did a search for waterlase dentists, and as many of you know, some dentists who claim to use lasers and new technology get you in their chair and tell you they can't use that procedure on you. NOT DR. ALVAREZ...he emailed me back wihtin 10 minutes of my inquiry, and when i got to his office he was attentive to my needs and fears, and used the waterlase exactly as promised. My appointment with Dr. Alvarez came about through a referral from my regular dentist in CT (while I was staying in NYC over the winter). I was immediately impressed with Dr. Alvarez's staff before I ever reached his office. Although I downplayed my symptoms over the phone, Karen and Tracy were able to ascertain that I needed to come in right away.
