I had gone to another dentist for a check-up because I had been alerted a few years ago by my suddenly-weird-now-former dentist that I had several fillings that were in dire need of being replaced. I have had issues with dentists and dental surgeons my whole life, and as a result my teeth were a painful mess. Dr. Alvarez was the first dentist who was honest and upfront and put my comfort first. We did a full workup over the past year and a half on my mouth, crowns, veneers, root canals, implants, you name it, I had it done. Dr. Alvarez is really great! In addition to being a very caring and nice guy, he also really makes sure that his patients are completely satified with his work. I had a bond on my front tooth from another dentist that looked very unatural and made me embarassed to smile. Dr. Alvarez reshaped the bond within a matter of minutes and was extremely dedicated to making sure that I was happy with the results. I recommend Dr. Alvarez to everybody, he is a very knowledgable, intelligent and truly comforting dentist. Brad G
I cringed at the thought of having a wisdom tooth out but Dr. Alvarez made me completely comfortable. I listened to music the whole procedure...incidentally, it was done in 15 minutes with NO PAIN whatsoever. He's the best when it comes to cleanings also; extremely thorough job! I highly recommend him to anyone who has a fear of dentists!
The day after having my all four of my wisdom teeth pulled, I was eating full meals without a problem. The combination of Dr. Alvarez's skills and his state-of-the-art laser made for a painless experience. I recommend him to ALL of my friends and colleagues.
I had an upper front crown that looked larger than the other teeth and had a black line showing at the gum line. Dr. Alvarez did a new crown and veneers for my surrounding teeth. It turned out great, very natural, no black line and the gum now looks perfectly normal. Dr. Alvarez also redid a crown for one of my molars which was chipping, the new one is so much better. Fear of Dentists!!! That is me. Over 20 years I have not gone because of fear. Finally at age 35 I knew it was time to go. I live on long island and did research to find the right dentist. Dr. Alvarez was the one dentist I can actually feel safe with. After my first visit with him, I felt so much more comfortable and relaxed and waiting to go back for my second visit without any fear at all. I found him to have the best bedside manners. Dr. Alvarez saved my both my smile and mental health! I had been seeing another dentisit for about ten years when I became very physically ill for a long period of time. Treatments for my illness took their toll on my spirit and my teeth. Dr. Alvarez is a very nice guy. He has a relaxing office and really makes the whole experience much more relaxing than most dentists. He uses all the latest techniques with lasers and everything is painless. He did bonding for me on some chipped teeth I had and did a wonderful job, he really is an artist.
