In September of 2019 I had an appointment with Dr. DeOrio after researching top ankle replacement surgeons. We discussed my arthritic right ankle that was bone on bone. On January 10, 2020 I received an ankle replacement, TN fusion, and Achilles’ tendon repair. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon and his team! Thank you for a pain free ankle and the care you provided for me! See you in January for my year appointment!

Dr. DeOrio did a complete flat foot reconstruction surgery on my left foot in April 2018. He is very knowledgeable and straight-forward about what is needed and how long it would take for recovery. I am happy with my outcome and am so glad I got my second opinion from Dr. DeOrio. I received excellent, prompt care for my visit. The ankle performs flawlessly. I have full range of movement. It is far better than I ever expected. I am glad it was performed by Dr. DeOrio. He came highly recommended and now I can see why.

Dr. DeOrio did an ankle replacement on my right ankle 3yrs ago. After a recovery period of about three months I have been pain free. I am an avid outdoorsman who likes to hike, play golf and fish in Western NC streams. I can't thank Dr. DeOrio enough for a great job and he is always there for follow up!!

Two years ago I had a Arthroplasty Total Ankle, with Implant operation by Dr. DeOrio. Everything was excellent and I just visited him again for a 2 year checkup and my ankle was exactly as it was to be. I would highly recommend Dr. DeOrio to anyone having a similar operation.

On 11/19/19, I had a six month checkup with Dr. DeOrio following an April total left ankle replacement surgery performed by Dr. DeOrio at Duke University Hospital. As of right now, I have no ankle pain and am walking with a normal gait. I have received outstanding care through consultation, surgery and follow up checks from Dr. DeOrio. Dr DeOrio replaced my ankle Feb 22 and three months later I was walking with no trouble. It takes three weeks for the worst pain to resolve and then I was pain free. Eight months out and only small amount of swelling when I’ve been standing all day. He and his staff(Stephanie) are truly a God send. They are both caring and devoted to patient care. So very thankful for them every step I take.

I had three previous surgeries on my feet and was disappointed in my results. I was finally referred to Dr. DeOrio, and I had a surgery which repaired my previous results. I now have no pain in my foot, and it looks much better. Walking is much easier now! I have a friend with similar problems, and I have recommended Dr. DeOrio to her.
