One year follow up for Bi-lateral orthoplasty
Dr. DiOrio performed ankle replacement surgery on me one year ago. As a Nurse Practitioner, I looked for the most experienced, competent physician in NC. Dr DiOrio took a very complex problem, 48 years post traumatic ski injury with tibia and fibula fractures and a Lisfranc fracture and 25 years post fusion of the talus navicular joint and created an ankle that is currently pain free. I can now hike, swim and play golf without pain.
Follow up visit to ankle replacement-fusion surgery performed 11/20/2020. Excellent results Dr. DeOrio's consultations have been spot-on and very encouraging to follow. Pain level significantly lessened from before and progress is eminent - my wife Myra feels much better. She comes away with much more confidence about her future!
I am almost 3 months out of ankle replacement surgery w a fusion on the front joint. Dr DeOrio is a great surgeon I am so glad he was recommended to me. He saved me from having an extra surgery that wasn’t needed . He will tell you what to do and not do each step of the way. Highly recommend him.
Dr. DeOrio changed my life. I was in constant pain from arthritis and only able to walk short distances with a cane/scooter for 2 years prior to my ankle replacement. Thanks to the anesthesia and surgery staff, I have been pain-free since the day of surgery (really, no pain meds at all). I am walking normally just 6 weeks after surgery. I could not be happier with my visit with Dr. DeOreo. I suffered for years with severe arthritic ankle. His knowledge and experience has been impeccable! I choose him to do a complete total ankle replacement. My results have far exceeded my expectations! Wonderful staff. Understanding my needs. I plan to have Dr.DeOreo do my other ankle when needed. I highly recommend him to you! He gave me back my life!
This is my second experience with Dr. DeOrio. Seven weeks ago I had a revision for an ankle replacement originally done in 2011. I have had no post-surgical pain and am now out of cast/boot and able to wear a regular shoe. Right now, I walk with a limp, but that is improving. I highly recommend Dr. DeOrio and Duke Orthopedics.
My visits with Dr. DeOrio have been amazing. He did an In Bone Ankle Replacement on my left ankle on October 2, 2020. The entire process from start to continuing with appts has been non other than a miracle. I’m currently walking with no pain since surgery and am forever grateful for his kindness, professionalism and knowledge that he has given me and my family. I would highly recommend him to anyone. You Dr. DeOrio are amazing!! Thank you for caring for me and my foot.
Wonderful visit today! Dr. De Orio was very please with the progess on my ankle ,did X ray took me out of the boot. Thank God for such a great caring doctor .Literately save my ability to walk ! Thank You !
