My first choice for heart and vascular issues. They have saved the lives of family and friends, and I'll be forever grateful.
There is some people here are from old school nurses and doctors who really do care they get 4 stars! There is some that don't have the time of day and say it's not their job they get -1!
Watching someone sneeze and not wash his hands is sick.
What a scam, I went for a follow-up visit at what I thought was the doctor's office in the Medical Office Building at Washington Hospital Center. I double checked the doctor was still in my insurance network and that I would only be responsible for a $30 co-pay, the appointment lasted about 10 mins. I was shocked to receive an additional bill for over $200 charging for the doctors office "facility" this was never clearly communicated to me as the patient, feels like a big scam for additional money. I had two kids and a surgery at this hospital under Dr. Downing and his team. They were amazing. But it's a completely different story in the ER.....I've heard nice docs in there. I just had to get the two worst one Dr. Katrine Voss and Dr. Christopher Wuerker, both were rude and condescending. They were insulting, judgemental and racist. The charge nurse Tammy was even worst.

Their NICU is the best!!
Well the Hospital Center has once again proven why it is becoming one of the worst managed organizations in the health care industry. After being laid off in November of 2013 due to so called "budget cuts", last week this fine organization had the audacity to inform me that due to being 72 hours short of 1000 hours worked for the year 2011, MEDSTAR MUST RETRIEVE THE MONEY contributed to my retirement account. This fine organization did not think enough to notify me in advance with a letter or phone call, demonstrating once a... read more
I feel the physical care I received could not have been better. It was almost like being in a 5 star resort. (a few obvious differences) :) But equally important, everyone I came in contact with made me feel they cared. Nurses Kiera and Sarah on 2E were super. Dr. Felger is a gem.
