Yesterday I had the worst experience! My surgery was scheduled for 11:30 but didn't start until after 3. I experienced rude and rough staff. The icing on the cake was that I was wheeled OUTSIDE through the parking lot because the orderly wanted to take a short cut. After my needle localization, I waited 30 minutes to be wheeled back to the OR. Because the tech called the third floor OR instead of the ground floor. I find this very unacceptable!

The nurses and doctors are always so nice. There was some uncharacteristic arguing among a couple different nurses near me that I didn't appreciate but other than that it was fine.

A bedside manner is a rarity these days, but Dr. David Johnson, MD of the Sports Medicine/General Department of Orthopaedic Surgery displayed a bedside manner that put me at ease right away! After he treated me, I walked out of his office a whole lot easier than when I walked in I must add.

Business response:

Linda, thank you for your kid words about Dr. David Johnson. We are glad to hear your visit was a good one! We will pass along your kind words to Dr. Johnson. We hope you are well! Have a great day.

I usually have a great experiences when I come to this hospital. Tonight a doctor refuse to treat me after waiting in the room for hours. The nurse and or PA lied to security and told them that I saw the doctor When in fact the doctor left at between 7 and 8. I'm going to say that if I die tomorrow or infect my co workers it's the biggest law suite. My temperature was taken at triage and ten mins before security came to escort me out because I was asking again to see the doctor. I had a temperate. I asked for Tylenol (regula... read more

Washington Hospital Center needs to invest in standing lifts for patients with disabilities. They need to determine patient needs for accommodation before the appointment. Interventional radiology employees were unsuccessful in trying to lift my mother from her wheelchair. They went and got a Hoya lift, but a standing lift works better for her -- and probably others.
