Horrible. Waited 4 hours with a friend of mine for "emergency" care. Currently sitting in the ER after FINALLY getting a room in ER. The intern on duty said hello - dropped us off - and we are waiting again. I asked "what if someone came in bleeding?" and the intake nurse said "well we would assess the extent of the injuries" -- translation -- unless you are dying and the team can SEE the injury -- expect to be ignored.

I like MedStar Washington Hospital because it clean. All my doctors are here, a one stop shop. The young lady name ( Stacy ) greeted me this morning with a smile and said Happy Brithday to me. She registration me in with a pleasant attitude.

I'm presently stuck in HELL here at the hospital on the "overflow rooms in the basement. The bed next to me sounds like a e broken refrigerator trashy needs it's moerl fixed. What ever happened to lights out. It's 1:47am and all the lights in the hall are on. Since this is "open space", that matters a bunch. Folks that are picking up patients are coming in and shouting like it's a party. At least three TVS are blasting and nothing is done about as I had made mention of all of the above. It is a wonderful hospital. I was there July 21, 2014 to have a LVAD put in. I came home Aug. 30, 2014. All of the doctor that took care of me was wonderful. Dr. Boyce who did the surgery was excellent. I still go for my check up and my heart is doing good.
