Don't go to Washington hospital center unless you want to comment suicide. The ER sucks. Here for 5 hours before seen and my wife was in lots of pain. At least they let the homeless sleep so they help in one way. Maybe they should make this hospital into a shelter.
I had surgery on March 14th 2016. I was impressed with level of care and doctors and nurses are NOT pushing pain meds !!!! Great place which understand your request and needs !

This hospital gets all my thumbs up!!!! Especially the Heart Failure Clinic. The team there, from the front desk clerks to the doctors and specialist are awesome!!! They have been nothing but exceptional in the care and support of my husband

Don't waste your breath with Dr Stein. Apparently he can feel what an MRI can see since he refused to order one for me. In fact he knows so much that said nothing is wrong with me when I haven't been able to train for over 9+ months. Wait did I mention I'm a professional athlete? He doesn't care. Sad excuse for a doctor will never refer or go to Medstar health and that's a shame because I'm sure there are other doctors that actually are good and actually do care. Hope your resident that was following you around today Dr. Ste... read more
This hospital is SICKENING... June 2014 my husband d and I were sent here . he was airlifted and I was taken by ambulance. I had emergency surgery which fucked me up more then I started. The Dr who did my surgery was nice but he didn't fix anything (I've seen multiple drs since my surgery). My foot was put in a soft cast that was too big. The nurses wouldnt put my foot properly back when it would come out from them moving me around. The only nurse I had that did anythi...Continue Reading
The people you have working in Pre-Op steal expensive coats from the elderly. I dropped off my elderly senior citizen friend 1/13/16, who was wearing her coat. However, when I went to visit her this evening, someone in Pre-Op stole her coat. I was told by the nurses that she wasn't the only one to have had this happened to here. THIS WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED AT MEDSTAR! GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL!
Hey all I was just wondering why is it that this patient (my uncle) is receiving this kind of treatment at Washington Hospital Center? Why is a patient with limited mental capabilities eating with a butter knife? Where is his nurse or medical personnel that is supposed to be helping him? I would really like some answers please.

My father is here now, recovering from heart surgery. His room is in the middle of a construction zone; constant drilling and hammering going on. It is so ridiculous that they have given the patients ear plugs in order to block out the noise. It is the worst scenario for patients who are in great pain and trying to rest. Inhumane, actually.
