I got charged for services not rendered. Stay away at all costs

Classic bait and switch practices done by this hap hazard company. I filed a complaint with the FCC as well. I called them for internet service only. Most apartments no longer allow satellite service for obvious reasons. I had to be put through the ringer just to get to the dept. that didn't really even know what they were talking about. The reps are required to read from a lengthy script about a service with vendors they know absolutely nothing about! Insane! I switched from *******to Dish to save more money but it will only last six months! I was guaranteed a 2 year fixed amount at the same price and saved even more when I signed up for auto pay. When I spoke to the rep., he told me that my payment would stay the same for 2 years guaranteed until I saw my first bill. The free Dish protect Silver is free for 6 months, Premium channels are free for 6 months, and Dish movie pack free for 3 months. This business does not stand by there word or service. From the moment I called to get the service I have been misled. When I called to set the service up I asked about the channel ATT Sports Southwest and was told they have the channel. Which is untrue, within an hour of the technician setting up my services I called in about the missing channel and was told they don't have it. And I'm stuck in the contract. I would give no stars if it would let me ! Have had dish for 8 months now and I have a technical issue not a big deal but told me it was going to take 24 days for the next available appointment to send out a technician. I told them that was not acceptable and they pretty much said too bad that was the best they could do. I then told them that maybe they should not sign up so many customers if they could not service their accounts in a timely manner. Seems as though I am not the only one filing a complaint. Switched from *******. Fox Sports Midwest was a must have channel for me. A month after signing the contract Fox Sports was dropped because there demands were "too much." My bill did not go down, but profits must have went up for Dish. There are at least 6-8, probably more providers out there that are able to offer this service, but yet Dish cannot. I don't buy it. Filthy bunch of liars, get you locked into a service and then raise the rate. Do not ever get involved with this company they are on their way out and are grabbing whatever they can.

Had service time for dish set up for new service for October 4th, 8-12. Technician came during time frame, set up system. Quick explanation of use of remote and left! Have a Blue Ray surround sound system that he supposedly connected. It began to just turn itself off. All I had was a picture/no sound! Called Dish/took forever to answer line. Tech support could not resolve it by phone. State f/u appt October 13th. Told them unacceptable. So Dish agreed to send out tech between 12-6 on Sunday, October 5th.
